Apparently the Lions had almost equal posession the ball with the Dogs.

OK, so what did they do with it - nothing!

It's time Mr Bradshaw & Mr Lynch to start kicking some goals - no more excuses. In Bradshaws case he better start by getting possessions!!!!!!!! otherwise he will be on the trade list.

AND to all those people who defend the players against any responsibility for their actions - mabye a bit of strongly worded aggro in their direction might help them out of their sub tropical comfort zone.

As Gough said It's time...

They need to get some enthusiasm going. Guys like Cupido and Brown have a hunger for the ball, and want to kick goals. They play smart footy, and bar the occasional error, they are proving to be effective in the forward line. (Give Notting, or Picken a go! We need L.Power and C.Keating back!).

On the other hand, we have guys who just don't know what to do with it in the forward line.

N.Clarke for instance - missed that set shot from 35m against Richmond the other week, also in the 1st quarter against the Bulldogs, got it on his own 40m out, could have run in an kicked a goal, but instead tried to put up and ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE BULLSHIT NOTHING KICK, to a one-on-one contest in the goalsquare. Needless to say, we didn't get a goal out of that effort. Surely, he could have lined it up for a shot - especially after the hard work done by the 4 or 5 players previous, to get it into a position where a goal might be scored (and Clarke had the chance).

I don't want to get down on N.Clarke, and he certainly wasn't the only one to stuff it up in the last 2 weeks, but this is just an example of some of the things that are going wrong at the moment.

all this is true, but you have to look at the fact that a lot of our goal scorers are either not performing or injured, therefore the young and inexperienced players are forced to step up and show some initiative. I would agree that brown and cupido are doing this successfully and are showing huge impact for the lions at the current time, but this is not consistent through the lions team. it is hard enough without the likes of power, hart and keating, who consistently score 1 and 2 goals per match. i think that once these key players are back at full strength, we could prove to be a tough challenge to the top sides of essendon and hawthorn.
