Forwards - Part #2

OK, time for everyone to select our team.

What I'm going to do is poll the players in 4 parts & get you to select your side. Remember you can't pick a player listed in more than once

1. Defenders- pick your 7 players
2. Forwards - pick your 7 players (6 starters + 1 reserve).
3. Midfield - pick your 6 players
4. Ruckmen - pick your 2 players

If your player is not listed, then pick 1 player less & make note of the player in your post.

I will probable then poll the bench after everyone has picked their selected starting 18 (ie. the 16 players who missed out with the most votes).

Just goes to show how tough this was, I couldn't find a genuine HFF in that list! (To be honest, not even sure what one is these days. I would have said Schubach but I am not sure how ready he is yet)

Interesting that Johncock polled 20; with our abundance of forwards...when theyre fit

Id say the midfield will be his battleground next year especially with Bickley out of the mix.

IMO it will be easier for Stiffy to find a starting spot in the forward line than the midfield, which has Roo, Macca, Goody, Birdman, Stinger, Shirls, Reilly, Bode, Ladhams, etc. Sure he may be part of the rotation, but isn't ready for a starting spot yet.

Here's my forward line,

Burns Carey Perrie
Johncock Stevens Welsh
and Ladhams on the bench.

I have varied the positions of our tall forwards, with Stevo more up the field. Johncock should get more run decided he does not get placed in the midfield (which I have nothing against.)

Ladhams and Schuback both deserve a push, but I chose Lads. However, I have no problem with Schubacca.

I was also suprised with the amount of votes Welsh has got. Not too bad considering he's injured all the time. If he stays fit, then he can be a real force.
