Fraser is uncontracted. Likely to go to GC if rumors are true. If Brown got a 1st round selection from GC, then I think the pies should be in line for the same. That would mean we still have a first rounder and gain Ceglarrrrrrrr and Krakour for Fraser. Good trading by the Pies I reckon.:)
 
If you were Fraser, wouldnt you try and stay with a team that will be up there next year, have a big preseason and force brown out? he might do a hammy in round 22?? who knows. He is never going to be a 1# ruck and it was that brown took his spot, so try and get it back?? Unless Mick told him to go wouldnt that be your preferred option next year?

The kid is tied to Gold Coast. If they are pissed off, would they trade him to us???

At any rate, it would be better for Collingwood to trade Josh to a team that HE wants to go to....which I admit is likely to be GC. Players aint stupid. If clubs treat their players like pieces of meat, then the word gets out pretty quick. It's not a coincidence that players are trying to get out of Brisbane since Voss took over.
 
If we got Ceglar we'd want to keep Fraser. Ceglar would be a great mentor for Josh, to teach him the art of rucking.

I reckon that's pretty optimistic to be honest. I'd rate Campbell Brown higher then Fraser at this point in their careers.
 
So Gold Coast have Ceglarrrrrr, and are rumored to be after both Minson and Fraser.

Intriguing.

Campbell is a All Australian, premiership player, probably close to having won a best and fairest in his career if he hasn't won one.

Fraser is what? No chance we'd get a first rounder for Fraser. :eek:

I would love to see JOSH with the determination, motivation, focus and brutal will to succeed in regaining his position - it would be a great story.
Alas I fear he is burnt out.
He has the talent to fight back and be MORE valuable (with the exception of the tuff stuff) than Leroy, and should see that regaining his spot is the easiest path to fulfilling the dream of all players to win a premiership, given the outstanding team we now have.
 
I heard that Josh agreed to a 2 year deal with the GC tonight. Will be announced tomorrow. No idea what compensation pick we will get or if it's a trade for a player (doubtful since Josh is uncontracted). I hope it's true since that means Cloke is staying.

Wouldn't be a 3rd rounder given the contract he had at Collingwood. He'll attract more than that under the system the AFL switched to mid-year, IMHO.
 
If true, good luck to Josh. Been an honest servant of the club and has provided some good moments for the fans. He wouldn't get a game with us, so glad he gets to play a bit more somewhere.

Doesn't matter when you have a formula for draft compensation. We don't know what it is, but we do know that it comprises wage, draft postition, club accolades etc. I'd be surprised if it wasn't up there considering C Brown's compensation.

Who knows, maybe Krakouer is tied in with a later GC pick, not our 1st pick.
