The West Australian

WITH Mark Harvery about to sign a 3 year contract with the Fremantle Football Club, Kevin Sheedy being touted as a possibility for a managerial role at Fremantle and with increased speculation that they will be looking to sign some of Essendon's assistant coaches along with players Kepler Bradley and Mark Johnson to what is now being called the Fremantle Bombers amongst the football community.
There is now a strong indication that Fremantle will be using it's first round draft pick to aqquire the Essendon Clash Strip Jumper, which has been linked to early retirement at Essendon due to a lack of support from the Club Officials who have been informed by the player group, fans and sponsors that they will not accept another contract extension to the disgraced Jumper and will call an AGM if neccessary to remove it from the club altogether.
Fremantle officials are yet to confirm this but numerous sightings of the Jumper were confirmed last week when it was seen at Subiaco oval hiding in the stands during the game versus West Coast. The West Australian beleives that a secret meeting took place at Subiaco that night as Kevin Sheedy left Subico Oval with what looked like a jumper under his arm in a protective case supposedly made from sound proof perpex as to allow the sectretive talks to be held in complete privacy.
When the West Australian finally did manage to track down the elusive jumper it was seen hiding on a coat hanger at Jim Kids in Fremantle. Although it remained extremely tight lipped and refused to say anything, we were approached by what we can only deduce was a bodygaurd of the jumper and asked 'Can I help you sir?'.
Sorry, I just had enough of all these unsubstantiated rumours floating around the west.....then again they do need to write about Fremantle at least once a week so i'm guessing they have a sweepstakes whereby they put 4 players from each club into a hat and every journalist has to draw one a week and then write an articlew on that player wanting to be traded to Fremantle.
