Just like most of you I have noticed a general disregard, antipathy and sometimes vitriol towards the Fremantle Dockers Football Club.

I understand the aversion and vitriol that Weagles fans have due to the local rivalry.

However, have noticed some fans from the east be very dismissive against the Dockers.

Comments like: 'Your club is the biggest joke and your a disgrace to the AFL'

'Your entire history is one of failure'

'Pathetic club that should fold so Tassie should have its own team'

'The only thing your club succeeds at is making Richmond supporters feel good about themselves'

So, after reading a thread about Fremantle having the worst winning percentage of teams since entering the competition in 1995, I decided to look at their head to head records and discovered that:

Carlton, Melbourne and St Kilda have a negative win-loss record with Freo.

As a West Perth Supporter who grew up very much south of that big river in the middle of the city ....I couldn't really lose.

I didn't support an AFL/VFL team before Adelaide. Hard to believe but Melbourne isn't the centre of everyone's universe.

As much as Freo have sucked their whole existence, I respect that their supporters stick by them and still strongly support them. If Port had their history, I doubt they'd be getting 10,000 to their games.
