Thanks for including Brad Hill, may not have been here long enough to ingratiate himself with the fans, but is clearly one of the best wings to have played for Freo ever.

I would have gone Heath Black over Shaun McManus for wing (statistically was better and I felt in game was a better wing, better disposer of the ball at any rate), but Brad Hill yes was probably better than both during his time at Freo and I am pretty sure statistically smashes those other two.

McManus was a fan favourite, bled Freo and gave 110% on the field so I understand why he got picked.

McManus in the team and Neale sub is surely a pisstake of the time that we played in a GF and Lyon made Neale the sub and preferred Nic Suban.

There's no other logical explanation for leaving out a dual brownlow medallist (and also won 2 Doigs btw)

You lose points for leaving the club, but I did think it was funny he was sub.

If I’m picking a team to win games rather than what they’ve done for the club I’m picking Pearce over Parker every day of the week and Neale and Serong are making my side. Not a chance Mundy plays half back either - he’s into the midfield where he belongs. There’s no chance I’m leaving Duffield out of my side for now either (I don’t think some of our current HBFs are that far off just not yet).
Do you one better. Dawson over both.
Guy is underrated and was blanketing the best to allow the defence to do their job.

Dawson was fit, knew his limitations and always played well in finals

Neale was a bottom six player for us in 2013 who had a few good games towards season's end.

People act like second year Neale was the player that won two Brownlows in 2013. He wasn't even close until 2015 or thereabouts.

Still picking him in these teams though as most of those other mids don't go past his last four seasons with us.

Suban didn't play a game in his whole career that was as good as Neale's run into the finals in 2013.

Cost us a premiership not picking him.

I agree

No way Suban should of been picked I ver Neale. Neale definitely had a better season.

Ballas was really crook too which didn't help

At last, a person with my views on ZacDawson. He was derided by many, but he would have been one of the first picked every week because of the job he had and perfomed every week.
Never a star, but certainly a great team man and a bit of a protector for the little fellas.

Ryan Pearce Kickett
Johnson McPharlin Young
S Hill Fyfe B Hill
Farmer. Pav. Walters
Ballas. Modra. Treacy

Sandi Mundy Neale

Serong, Haselby, Bell, Brayshaw.

- Predicting Jackson will be in there in a couple of years. Bolton too. Chris Mayne unlucky.

There’s no way Pearce is in the best. Not a chance.
He’s solid, but he’s hardly been consistent.
Dawson ahead of him.

Yeah nah.

Pearce is a better defender (whilst I also rate Dawson defending was his only attribute) can kick vastly better, is a leader and let’s not even discuss their differing chances of kicking a team lifting goal.

Would never back a Pearce to keep Hawkins, Roughead or Franklin honest.

Dawson kept Roughead to 1 goal in the GF.

Would never believe Pearce would do that.
He’s just not agile enough for it. Sure he has his moments but he’s still gets 3-6 kicked on him.
Oscar Allen kicked 3 in one quarter I think.

On of my most ludicrous Freo takes is if Dawson played in the 70-80s* he would be in GOAT conversations.

* I wasn't born until the 90s so this is very much based off vibes.

Dawson shouldn’t get a game in the Frankston 3’s let alone team of the century. Bloke was delisted twice and if not for Ross Lyon wouldn’t have made it to 50 games.
