Would it be silly of me to raise the prospect of resting some of our players next week? I know we can still move within the 8, but with certain results, it may not matter. This could be a meaningless game.

Chances are we'll finish 6 th or 7th, either way we would most likely play the same team in week 1 of finals?

Rather than send the older guys to Perth (thinking long flights and the fact it will be Freo's GF...so they'll be hard/physical etc), maybe give some guys from the VFL a run and leave our older and more important players home?

Maybe a few Older Players like Wakes and Burns but that would be it.

Plus Freo will be Tanking to make sure they finish 3rd last so they get the 3rd pick so they can get Rich or Natanui

Burns may have suffered an injury, so taking appropriate precautions there would be wise. Otherwise, MM will trot out the "you don't flirt with form" line if someone suggests resting players for this game.

Best result would be to finish 4th and get a crack at Geelong week 1 of finals. Unlikely, but definately would be the best result.

Given that Freo dress ridiculously on field, have far and away the stupidest hair styles as a team in any national sport on this continent, have a totally ludicrous and ridicule worthy club song and to top it all off consider players like Farmer as elite....we should spare no expense and leave no stone unturned in beating them back to the stone age.

Nothing like winning form going into a final series.

Burns should be rested, Daisy also unless he is 100% fit. It works both ways though, we should use the game to get some match fitness into Rocca assuming he is fit for selection.

I don't think Freo will be tanking either, well it certainly didn't look like that in the previous few games. They should give us a good game but we should come out on top. But I don't think Scooty Burns will play, Daisy might be given more time and Wakes might be given a rest too with Nath Brown coming back in.
