For the board moderator you are extremely negative.
Seriously mate, say something positive. Rarely do you say anything postive.

A very truthful and pertinent observation and he's somewhat intolerant of those who make similar comments!

'You're sailing close to the wind mate!'

thank god someone remembered to leave the brown paper bag in the umps room before the game:p

Seriously if you're going to blame the umpires for losing a game you shouldn't be allowed on BigFooty...which as it seems appears to be your entire supporter base.

I am a poster frist.

You may be happy with massive pre season build up/ hype and expectations only to be let down time and time again.

But I am not.
We weren't let down last night. We won. Our captain came off injured. We are still a ruckman down and had a midfielder as our ruckman for the last quarter and had to overcome the most negating game plan I've seen for a while at Subi.

I believe that you are one of the more pessimistic, knee-jerk reaction posters on BigFooty. It is up to you what your opinions are but as a moderator that is unforntunate.

I'll take the win. With Bell out early, and hardly any of J Carr, M Carr, Haselby, Schammer, Black getting big stats, I'm just glad to get the four points. , Hase, Mcpharlin, Pav and 5 or 6 others are well below their best form.

Our second tier midfield stepped up (Peake, Macca, Walker). That's good.

There has hardly been any talk about losing our captain last night and for upcoming weeks. Why??? Well I think we all have more confidence that anyone can be replaced adequately.

Connelly coached well last night too.

Sum up the game in a sentence....

Gifted result after a error riddle pathetic performance.

Don't you think that Richmond make people play that way. They have worked out that is the best way for them to get a result. Given that a few useful sides over the last month have been unable to break them open, Adelaide included, it was not a bad win.

The only way you are going to make a game against Richmond's style entertaining is to get a jump on them and then they have to go to plan B. We did not, but a could of teams have and hence thie 100 point hidings..

According to the broadcasters - 22 centre breaks to 6; 34 clearances to 23. We did okay there tonight - it was basic skill errors that let us down.

Yep, for once we didn't get smashed in the clearances at all - although given Richmond are as soft as a box of wet tissues it's not really a compliment to us.

Richmond got close because their skill level was first rate all night. They hardly ever missed a target, and it took until well into the 2nd half of the last quarter for the players to work out that to get the ball off them you had to play 1 on 1 footy. I can't really blame them for that, when a zonal, no accountability game plan is drummed into you all year, you can't just suddenly play man on man at the flick of a switch.

Raffrox, there has been no bigger docker talker upper in bigfooty history than sabre. Maybe after all these years the enthusiasm is wearing down a bit but those sabre knockers need to pull there heads in.

Sitting through two hours of crap for 10 minutes of brilliance.

I like that...sums it up for me...I've never felt so flat after winning a game in the last 4 minutes than that one.....I guess a win is still a win?

Remember we are on a journey...

I'm amazed at some of the responses here. Sure it wasn't the one-sided romp that we would have loved to have seen, but on Saturday night I saw a team that showed a lot of guts and aggression, in parts lacking skills in a highly pressurised environment. Sure Richmond aren't top of the table material, but they applied a game plan that is reputed to be 'dockerproof.' We worked through that and showed a lot of backbone when it counted.
