Freo has a problem emerging soon.It is a good problem to have. Our backline players, Maca, grover, broughton, duffield, suban, ibbo, mzungu, snos, robbo & maybe hayden(if he can return), cannot all fit into our best possible back six.The way I see it,Maca, grover, snos, ibbo, duffield & broughton make up our best back six.In saying that Mzungu and suban could also have a say in that.Ibbo, I believe is not suited to playing forward of wing,he seems to get lost, but plays well when zoning off in the defensive 50, takes courageous marks and generally hits targets from inside our defensive 50.Duffield appears that he would struggle to move into the midfield (similar to mundy) as well. That leaves Broughton, suban, mzungu, robbo & hayden fighting over the remaining two spots.Of the remaining five who has the game to move into the midfield or become a defensive forward maybe.

Robbo will be back in the WAFL as soon as more players are available you'd think. Nothing against him but he doesn't have the quality of the others yet.

Duffman is the weakest defensively so I'd be interested to see if he could handle a move upfield. The main downside of that is he is the best kick in man the club has ever had.

I'd definitely like to see Mz used primarily as a midfielder. We're really lacking zip in there and from all reports he has elite endurance. In the preseason game I watched he was bobbing up absolutely everywhere.

Hayden is an all-time favourite of mine, so while my head says he might struggle to get a spot my heart wants to see them try to slot him in up forward somewhere.

If Hayden makes it back while Broughton, Ibbo, Mzungu and Duffield are all fit and playing then he will play forward. Hayden as a defensive forward has it all over guys like Crowley but I am not sure how likely getting Hayden truly back is.

Silvagni can easily play a role forward if not needed down back while Grover and McPharlin are playing. Games last year when he sometimes played forward he played very well and was a dead eye at goal.

If all those players listed in the OP are fit and available for selection, that is a problem the selectors would be happy to deal with ATM.

Soooo many threads every week bobbing up sprucing our depth in the coming months when everyone's back. Hasn't history taught you anything??? When 1 door opens another closes, maybe not 1 for 1 but we'll never have the chance to have all these guys fit & firing & raring to go in the 1 team.

But if we're playing along, the bench & flanks/midfield is your friend.
