yep couple of injuries to our guns/mid range types and it will be hard. Crows should push hard for friday night matches, with collingwoods form this yrs they have absolutely no case for more that 3-4 friday nighters next yr. If we could get a ground closer to the city, firday night matches would be a real hit in adelaide.

exactly what i was thinking, knock that shi te down in west lakes and get adel oval up to 60,000. Great friday night, would have no problem filling it out. Easy access, night out afterwards. But as you said will never happen. Too much bull ******** that clogs things up. I would atleast like to play a heritage round at adel oval under lights that would be nice. But my understanding is that sanfl and ammi are separately owned and wont happen either basically. Such a shame really

The thing is that Channel 9 get given the fixture list then they pick which games they want on Friday nights during the season. They are obviously going to pick the games that are going to attract the biggest audience, they spread it around a little but only as much as they have too.

Friday Night games will always be on free to air TV, after all TV is the reason that we have Friday Night Games in the first place. TV care about ratings not the crowd figures, they have sponsers to to look after.

Had that argument here before Jack. Unfortunately too many people think those moldering glorified tin sheds at Adelaide Oval that pass for members stands MUST be kept.

yeah knew it wont happen but would be nice. I think its called heritage and tradition, so we don’t modernise it at all. The only ground in australia to have these qualities too

Obviously didnt read the thread early in the year about playing AFL games at AO Jacky boy. It wont happen because the SANFL who owns FP wont let paying games be played at a location that screwed them financially 30 to 40 years back when they were tennants there. They have paid a lot of money to now or closely own the asset which is FP so why should they.

But on your statement about getting 60K+ people out of AO is a joke because where would they park, they would have just as much trouble getting out as WE do now if not more if not because of the extra 20k patrons, not even accounting for the lack of ways out of the location.
Just because it has more arterial roads in its general location doesnt mean that it's easy to move people through those roads. Think a little more about the situation pleeeeeease.
