There is no doubt the icemans kicking will improve with confidence.....as will his sometimes fumbly nature.
I remember when he, dwyer, martin and oxley were rookie drafted I watched all their highlights packages and thought the snowman had the most upside. Keep on improving you cool customer!

So many miserableists on this board. Frost is taking the run and create from the backline to heart, ala Toovey and Williams. Disposing under a press and after spoiling must be the toughest assignment in the game. Punch ball, get ball, dispose of ball in tight is not easy.

If he got the ball in space or kicked from a mark then I don't doubt his disposal % would improve.

Well said. He has only played a handful of games at this level. He has huge upside left in him.
Personally I'm friggin stoked he plays for the Pies & is doing so well. I think he will be our best tall defender for years to come.
In fact I think Bucks already thinks he is, & I'm not going to argue. Love ya work Frosty.

I think certain things stand out and I suppose it's not surprising that the Head coach has referred to them....one is closing speed... the other is that Frost played a few games at the start of last year but appears to be gaining confidence this year that he actually belongs at this level. Both comments appear to be dead accurate, at least as far as my limited knowledge goes. I know that Buckley is miles behind the sharp analysis of the previous coach, but I generally agrees with what he says.... although I realise that both of us are severely lacking. I would also suggest that he surprises me with his willingness to burst through contested situations. I like that. He generally does ok, although he's no Pendles. I have no idea whether he's going to make it long term. It probably has a bit to do with improving his disposal but he looks ok at the minute. I dont have much interest in predicting what the best 22s is going to be in 2023.

I would rather have a player that has courage and not so good a kick than one with no courage and a great kick. His attack at the ball is seriously good, he fears no one and already has some healthy scalps. I do agree that his kicking is not elite but many of his kicks are under pressure and as he gains experience he will know when to settle, look up and deliver and when to just get it out of there. Not only that but as the players around him get more experience they will also help him in his decision making. It was the same last year with Sinclair, as he settled his delivery improved. You can always find faults in any player if you over analyse, just enjoy his and our team's continued development.
GO PIES!!!

Loving the way Frost is playing at the moment. His attack on the ball is fantastic.

He was upgraded via Scharenberg's LTI right? I assume Scharenberg will stay "injured" later in the year to allow Frost to keep playing? (I know he is actually injured now, I mean when he is better).

No the mid-year upgrade will be available, and we will be pining for that option to open up because NOT A SINGLE ****ING ONE OF OUR PLAYERS WILL COP A SERIOUS INJURY FOR THE REST OF 2014!

Now I've said it so vehemently, we're all good to go. ;)

I will be Devastated if Marty Clarke and Tony Armstrong get senior spots on the list for playing average VFL football while Frost on the rookie list is forced to play VFL after a great start to the year.

i will be very shattered if clarke and armstrong get placed on long term injury lists. I mean look who we have to upgrade for them, the shazza, i mean he doesnt have the freakish turnover skills like clarke and armstrong do.

Frosty has an attitude about him that says 'either I'm going to get that ball or you're going to be sorry!'

He just oozes intimidation - not the lumbering stolid intimidation of a hulking bull but the sharp edged, gut churning intimidation of a Puma on the charge.

Love his willingness to take the game on - and anything or anyone that gets in his way!

Don't worry Frosty....Billy Picken couldn't kick either.

Robroy, off topic, but does it bother you to see young Picken running around for the Doggies? It does me. I have a little 'Billy' moment every time I see his son. He is not the most skilled, but he has some ticker.

Jonbe, love the 'puma on the charge' analogy. Do pumas come in white?

I know that it's been said before but it is worth lingering on - what a change in perspective since the NAB Challenge when (nearly) everyone wanted him far far away from the 22, and our KPD stocks looked to be running on empty. Good on ya Frosty. Keep it up!

Really hope frosty is in the mix when we play the hawks. Reckon he would be a great match for gunston. Would be interesting to see how gunston reacts to the physical pressure frosty would bring to every contest.

Yeah, he is a must for Gunston. Has to be he or Tooves.

Great start to the year by Frost - absolute asset to us down there.
