We continue to stuff around with the ball and when we finally decide to move the ball on quickly and at all costs - we actually do something......for f%^&%^% sake, I wish they'd work on their kicking skills and centre clearances (39 to 25 tonight!!!).

We are so frustrating to watch some times.....!!!

I agree.
Kick to kick rubbish..no one offers or opens up a lead..
They are just lacking in several departments.

They did look like they were going in for a win,
but TONIGHT they couldn't kick for $hit.

3-4..possibly 3-5 Saturday evening when the siren blows... :(

It's got to happen though,
Essendon has been up there for many many years,
and the slide down the ladder continues.
Alot of our players are starting to push on,
and soon enough that will be another MAJOR rebuilding stage for us..

Bahhh.

well what pisses me off so much is why have we stopped playing our run on footy like in the first 4 weeks ,its not that other sides have worked our game out its that we have gone back into our shells.....just watching tonite we didnt or wouldnt take risks and in footy if u dont take a risk u dont get anywhere.....few players have lost confidence too but thats it u dont lose talent and one thing sheeds stop ****ing changing the side around.....richard cole is one of the worst players ive ever seen how the hell does he get a game?take more risks and get our run back and we will be fine footys a simple game.....

Did anyone else think we were massacred by the umps tonight? The gaping hole at CHF has to be filled. This is our biggest problem at present but no one seems to be able to play there. Ryder too young keep him in defence let him learn. Johns, body language is real bad doesn't wanna be there, I've given up on him for now. Some of the decision making by players in the midfield is dreadful. Winderlich is the worst offender, looks great on the run but put him under pressure and he turns it over every time. Defence has been rock solid all year but when Mal and Fletcher are left as the only talls they're gonna struggle. Watson had 15 disposals at 1/2 time after starting on the bench and began the second half on the bench. Why? Pretty much playing as an inexperienced team would. Look great in patches and then ordinairy the rest of the time. Best thing is were yet to be flogged. Even when the game looked gone just after 3/4 time the players kept on battling rather than throw in the towel. This is a good sign.

Why is it that we can see this but the coaching staff cant (or won't)......does Sheedy have too much power in the box?? Sure he is the head coach, but dont Wallis, Gary and Gary have any influence.....??

Very frustrated tonight.
I refuse to concede that the Kangaroos are a better side than us.
- 2 goals 9 is not good enough. The match could have been over in the first quarter
- To many mistakes by hand and foot
- A few umpiring decisons that didn't go our way
- A bit one dimensional with Lucas tonight, Lloyd would have been handy

In the end we weren't beaten by a better side. We were beaten because we couldn't kick straight. We only have ourselves to blame.

Mantis - your point is a pretty good one, but if we keep losing the clearences (39-25), we are always going to be under the pump regardless of our poor kicking.....

FFS, we lost because of bad kicking for goal, nothing else.
True, but even if we did kick straight and win, there was still a few areas that need a bit of work, eg. Clearences, Run off half back and the forward line and possibly other areas that other people may want to add.

R&B - I think you've pretty much covered our whole team with the few areas that need a bit of work.....!!

I can't criticise our effort but we're not good enough to miss that many. Also thought the gold coast got just about every 50/50 decision which didn't help.

What is more frustrating was listening to Robert Walls say it was the best game he has seen all season. And the only thing that could have made it better was if he had money on the kangaroos...

Umpires absolutely shat me last night. From the soft free at the start of the game to the continual lack of frees our way to the frees they were getting for things we werent.

Probly wouldnt have changed the game much, our accuracy would've, but was very ****ing annoying

Like I said last night, I doubt it would have had a bearing in the result, as the Kangaroos played pretty good footy and won it where it counted.
But I do beleive that Scott Lucas is the most held onto, grabbed and scragged player in the league. Should have received about a dozen more free kicks over the last month. Gibson wasn't even looking at the ball and holding onto Lucas last night as the ball came in and still nothing.

We beat the Hawks in clearances last week and still lost. Although I still agree that this is an area that needs vast improvement.
