Bishop or Wakelin. Both out of form.

Chaplin and Pettigrew didn't play last week, don't know if that was due to injury or form but either of those two might come in.

who will c.johns be playing on against port if he is ff? he needs 2 play on a crap full bak and see how he does.

Good delivery would go a long way.

If he gets a metre or two on his opponent and good delivery he would be very hard to stop....

Isn't he one of the fastest over 20m at essendon??? Ideal for a FF of his size. However it depends on good delivery...

Unfortunately with our young midfield and our tired veterans delivery isn't perfect. I'd like to see Dyson delivering the ball forward more, he has great disposal normally, and I saw Reynolds do a great pass to Johns (the one he dropped off his chest)...

Winders also has good disposal... If we can get these guys kicking the ball inside 50 that is going to help Johns a lot...

I don't think the opponent will matter as much as the dissposel into the forward line, if he can get an early goal to get his confidence up he should have a good game. He will be a few games off better form and consistent football.

Probably not. But on a lesser opponent and at his size, disposal into the forward line shouldn't be as important.

It would be nice to see him pluck a contested mark or two. We know he can lead, and lead strong. Does he have more than one string to his bow?

Yeah true, he has the frame to push a lot of blokes around and he is only going to get bigger. If he can do both lead and take a contested mark then he will be very valuble.

For a 4th gamer, I liked everything about John's game against the Eagles (except the dropped chest mark), thought he showed a lot of spirit. He seems like an angry man and will make a few people hurt if he manages to forge out a career. Did anyone else get excited when he was running full steem at Chad Fletcher and crunched him. That's what I like to see and hopefully will see a lot more of it. Keep him at full forward I say for the rest of the season, see if we get some advantage out of Lloyd's injury.

If he manages to play some good footy and get some goals imagine the cult status he would get at Essendon.

I for one am currently on the bandwagon

johns at FF, i love the kid, he will be a freak and a great player for essendon i think, and he will hurt they opposition with his massive body.....as seen where he nearly killed chad fletcher

CJ looks as though his size helps him be a good step ladder. Embley's mark was a pearler :p Really excited about him. Could be the a quick fix to our full forward situation which then frees up lucas to play his natural game. Bring on port and their sub par defence at the minute!!

He at least gave us some of the structure we've lacked since Lloyd went down. Thought he showed some good signs. Hopefully he'll play some good footy by the end of the season. I'd be very happy if he could kick 3 goals this weekend, I don't think that's unrealistic.

i agree, he is so big and looks so dangerous that you cant not just give him the 3rd or 4th best defender, they need to man up on him with a decent defender who is experienced with playing on big strong bodies, eg Dustin Fletcher, if he were an opposing defender

if u manned a bradley type defender o johns hed do a brown just the 8 goals :p
