I was thinking about it today but we don't hear about Leon Davis anymore. At the start of the year all the media could say was we miss him and how we couldn't find an extra $100000 for him. Even to the point of the footy show going over to Perth to interview him.

But now we have been winning you just don't hear about him anymore. Funny that.

seeing the mainstream media collect their intelligence from bay 13*, and bay 13 havent reported the succession plan being an issue recently, hence the media havent either.

On the subject of Leon I think we have missed him and would gladly swap him for S Buckley.

How good would our backline be with Neon Leon still running around?! I think we have missed Leon quite a bit, especially at kicking the ball in from an opposition behind.

You just can't teach vision which is backed up by precise skills, all of which Leon had in spades. Plus he had a lot of speed to cover off players like Betts, Jetta & co.
I considered including Cyril in that list but I don't believe he ever lined up on him when we played the Hawks, which was probably a good thing.

I reckon our two weaknesses this year have been kick ins, both ours and oppositions and the form of our key position forwards. So, no doubt Leon would help us get to a gf but i think we will make that anyway and then Leon would go missing. We offered him a contract and he declined.

I know i would rather have kept Tooves and caff, even though the latter injured
