Worrying signs. Fyfe has dislocated his shoulder and subbed off in the 2nd quarter. This comes after shoulder surgery this preseason.

Fyfe's shoulder was popping out a bit last year aswell wasn't it? Not good sighns. If the preseason surgery was on the same shoulder (im pretty sure it is given the strapping) that he injured today and the risk of it popping out again is high they may be thinking about a reconstruction to tighten it up. Embley had the same problem and when he injured it last week they chose to go the reconstruction. Embley is out for 16 weeks. You would hope that's not the case. Keep in mind though that's the worst case scenario. Best case would be they pop it back in and he's fine to play as early as next week.

It was his right that was operated on during the pre-season,today his left shoulder.
Lyon said after the game he'll be fine.*does the holy cross*

" Lyon says Fyfe's shoulder 'slipped a little bit' and they didn't want to risk anything with him. Mellington has done a hamstring"

Scans for Fyfe late Sunday or Monday. Could play next week, or could miss season. Lyon says club won't take any risks.

I'm not a religious guy but am willing to do any prayer, ceremony or human sacrifice to ensure Fyfe is okay.

As someone who has had 17 dislocations and two ops i say get him another op and time to sort it. If this was rd 22 the jab him and play him but we have the time to get him right and he is our clubs most prized asset.

It is ****in beyond belief that everytime one of our star midfieders returns from his injury another gets seriously injured. His shoulders will be an issue for the rest of his career and already this season his contested marks have dropped off by a massive amount, in fact I don't think he has taken one. I'm very upset, hoping for a miracle.

I hope thats the truth and nothing but the truth. For what it's worth, Dr Peter Larkins said on 7 that it's the same case as Embley, keep playing him or surgery and he misses 12 weeks. Mind you I don't think he is right all that often. Tough guy Fyfe, played last year with that problem and might have to do it again this year.

Does anyone know why they even bother with surgery? It doesn't fix anything and the shoulder is almost guaranteed to pop out again and require more surgery. Ibbotson has had more reco's then I can count and his shoulder still keeps popping out.

My guess especially after hearing lyon talk about is that its quite similar to the Embley situation. So as a guess i reckon he will have surgery putting him out for the majority of the season or they will risk playing him and hope it holds firm. It will either be fine and he will have surgery at the end of the year or it will pop out again and then he will get surgery. Literally the worst player to get injured on your list. **** unfortunate.

Unfortunately that's not unusual for shoulder injuries like that. Friend of mine had similar problem and now in his 40's and he can't even lift his arm above his head without it coming out.

Doc Larkins just said 3 months or play through it at half time at the GC v Ess match. Would prefer him to go in for surgery and get it fixed rather than play through it and have further complications, like Luke Ball on Friday.

But he could have surgery, return in three months and pop his shoulder out in his first game back. The possibility of this happening is alarmingly high. But most likely he will go in for surgery.

Ah for the love of god, there goes my awesome supercoach record. Hoping he plays on and is fine, for both my supercoach and for Fyfey, hes a gun.
