The Brownlow doesn't make Fyfe a better player any more than it makes Priddis a better player. Fyfe makes the Brownlow a better medal though I don't see how winning a Norm Smith equates to a top 5 pick, unless JJ has been BOG all year to show consistency in that rating.

Exactly my point, have 2 medals is really nice but it doesn't equate to a pick in the top 5 by default, then in the next breath they acknowledge that by declaring that he is only worth 400-450k per year.

They don't realise the contradiction, If the guy is as good as you say ( we want a top 5 pick ) then offer him more money, instead of crying when he get's a better offer. I'm not sure of his contract staus but we won't be coughing up the pick they want, no matter what

I honestly think so , Jj need to have another good 2017 season to demand a top 5 pick value . One breakout season is hard to judge his value. Dangerfield , ablett , buddy , fyfe all have at least two or more good season to prove they are valuable to other club. Too early to demand a top 5 pick , bulldog might not have a good season like 2016 or JJ might not be as good form as he is in 2016 in 2017 thus will definitely readjust his value.

His output is what determines his value, I doubt that any team wpuld willingly give up a top 10 pick for JJ. He's a good player but not that good imo.

JJ was a rookie pick , he is an ok running defender with average disposal. Top 5 pick is ridiculous.
