“It (his left shoulder) is not 100 per cent. I won’t lie about that,’’ he said.

“But I’m putting my hand up to play each week. I’ve got to make sure I play my role.

“I’m looking forward to next week and hopefully putting in a better performance.

“Getting knocks on it, that’s not ideal. It definitely stirs it up but as the weeks roll on, it will hopefully get stronger (and) I feel more confident in it.’’

Ablett has been spending extra time in the forward line as he recovers from the shoulder injury that prematurely ended his 2014 campaign and disrupted his pre-season.

The question should be WHY GARY, WHY after 8 months is it still no good?

Ill ******* tell you why!

Because the stupid prick has refused drugs on every occasion and he hasn't been able to do the early rehab work like every other normal campaigner in the world would ******* do and he's paying for it now. He could have a jab this and be 90+% immediately but its going to take an assload longer because the stupid campaigner would prefer to believe in ******* XENU THE GALACTIC ******* OVERLORD instead of worrying about performing at 100% and earn his ******* 1.6 ******* million dollars.

To an embarrassing extent.

He's not a Scientologist... he's a born-again Christian.

Not that they're as dissimilar as some would have you believe.

I've started with GAJ this year because it has ALWAYS proved to be right to start with GAJ. Is this the year it's not? There's about a million options for selling him off this week. It's very very tempting.

Why Martin though?
Well, I needed a bucket load of cash in order to be able to do the three trades (400k). Realistically, the problem was that I didn't leave myself money in the bank to start the season.

To generate that sort of cash in my forward line (by downgrading to Hogan), it was either Dusty, Bartel or Gray. I can honestly see Gray becoming GAJ in a year or two. Bartel is super consistent and will always score 90+, so I settled on mr. up and down.

If you absolutely had to trade one of those three, which would you choose TheOz ??

I reckon we have a new champion! Step aside Judd_Magic, your Roughead -> Zorko sequence of trades has been trumped by Jiska's sequence of trading out Martin trades!
Not really. Hogan, Swan, Docherty >>> Dusty, Cripps, Goodes

In isolation Dusty > Hogan looks a crazy move, but when you factor in the three trades as a package, I think it's a definite win. Hogan/Swan/Docherty will outscore/out cash generate Dusty/Cripps/Goodes.

Let's look at last week (scoring)
Hogan (86) / Swan (99) / Docherty (95) = 280 points
Dusty (139) / Cripps (0) / Goodes (10) = 149 points

And breakevens (cash generation)
Hogan (-89) / Swan (62) / Docherty (-1) = minus 28 NET
Dusty (123) / Cripps (35) (proj) / Goodes (65) = plus 223 NET

I'm already 131 points and 251 break even points ahead by making those trades. You guys can rubbish me all you want, but the stats speak for themselves and I'm 100% happy with my trade.

haha. you may have a point here but you are doing a good job at getting it across.

i have goodes. knew he was going to be sub and put oxley on the field +116.

i also have Cripps and put Heeney on the field +65

so i netted 320 points on the field... which you probably would have done as well...

As long as your happy.

And until you trade Dusty back in JM still has the wood on you with the Roughead-Zorko trade.

If you had both GAJ and J Selwood... who would you keep?
Both with similar BE's and Exp $ Drop..

i have both and am keeping selwood

think he is more likely to bounce back than gaj

Selwood, he has just started slow and should bounce back, Ablett is injured and struggling, a lot harder to bounce back from quickley.

Parker is going to definitely be very enticing in a few weeks.
He looked off on Sat'dy for sure but ultimately he still managed a good score considering. Playing GWS at the first home game at the SCG...He could very well go bang next week, potentially limiting the positive in holding off waiting for the price drop. Okay so he's got a BE of 165...

I think there is a positive if you get rid of Ablett for him this week, get the points (hopefully) and then use the trade you would have used to get Parker to get Gablett when he's fresh & ready to roll again. Two trades = (hopefully) cash now. Points now. win, win right?
