it looks as if Brent Prismall has done his ACL, if this is the case he won't play at all next year..this would lower his trade value heaps..what do we think worth the risk to get him to the Dees?

I had his value at pick 20 before his injury and thought if he was dropped before the grand final he might want to leave, now he will probably be happy to stay at Geelong and we should be happy to let him stay.

Gamble can't play on Prismall, unless it's an intra club match??

Tough call, pick 19/20 youngster or Prismall. Prismall might be worth it. Depends whose available around our PP's I spose with the depth of the draft, which is suppose to be pretty good isnt it?

I'd give up Pick 19 for Prismall.

Its not as if the Pick 19 would be able to do much next year anyway, Prismall will come back better and stronger than before IMO.

That said, I don't believe Geelong will let him go.

Geelong have already indicated they are keeping Prismall on their list for 2009 even though its looks like he has done an ACL and will miss the whole year. So, I wouldn't fancy any clubs chances on Prismall. He is a good player and would definately have got a regular game at the Dees.

Pick 19 should at least be able to do a pre-season and perform for Sandy. Why would you gamble on a kid who'll be 23 before he's fit to play in the red and blue over a kid who may well play senior footy next year?

Because we won't be ready to win a premiership next year but in a couple of years time when Prismall is back and in great form we will.

I'd prefer to keep both 17 and 19 so we can get a midfielder like Blease (one who fits our needs well) and a KPF with the other pick.

Prismall doesn't fit our needs as well as a midfielder we can draft, he is older and has a long recovery in front of him. Trading 19 for him would be nonsensical at this point. I'm not even sure whether he would be ready earlier than the draftee as some have suggested, given his injury.

By that time the kid available with pick 19 may well be in great form too with the added bonus of him being a good 4 years younger than Prismall.

Just to be clear I'm not against us attempting to get Prismall come trade time/PSD, but not at the cost of a top 20 pick.

This whole statement just proves that your actual location is hong kong. Your cant be serious b.c??

Dismall i mean Prismall will be out for a year, he isnt that young compared to a guy like pearce who we could package pick 19 with something to get. Hes slow enough now let alone after a knee reco. Put him in our side he wont get a touch.

Prismall is that far below maloneys level while he was at geelong its a joke. And even though injuries have played a big part i wouldnt say brent has lived up to the expections or ability he displayed at geelong playing for us.

Pick 19 for a guy coming off a knee reco, wont play next year and is just average at anything he does. Geez and i thought c.c was a shocking recruiter.
