3.10.. dead eye di-ck they call us!

even punch drunk most of us in ehre would kick goals where the bombers kicked teh behinds. 4.14 ? they should be 11.7 bare minimum. weak minded twats.

or 4.12 and still only one point down 1/2 time

If you are reffering to mine about peverill, he cant kick and his decision making skills are shocking. Seriously why would you kick it cross goal like that.

At least they are having a crack. Honestly, some of the comments here are as weak as our kicking!
that what you say to your sons U/12 side when they walk off the ground with their heads down after a loss.. 4.12 is just not good enough for afl leve.. just read my posts i have alot of faith in essendon .. but 4.12 is just skill error which shouldnt happen

they are highly paid professional sportsmen, they souldnt be making the general errors like they have been doing week in week out. SImple as that.

WHY SHEEDY??? Neitz kicks 1 goal in 2 and a half quarters on Soly so why move him?

Good on ya Hirdy.. Walked off on the umpire when they were in the middle of a conversation. Dont blame him. They goal to Davey was crap. Essendon players stopped because of the whistle. Cant play advantage to that.

if we kick 5 goals in last quarter il be happy.. we are going to loose.. just put in a good effort last quarter i say

Look, I hear what you guys are saying. To kick 4.12 in a half of football is very disappointing. We should have gone in at least five goals up. Our kicking has been pretty close to deplorable. Peverill, NLM, McPhee and big Keps all coffed up badly in the back half. Watching this team this year I reckon has taken a couple of years off my life, but, I do prefer to watch them having a fair dinkum crack as they did for most of the first half. The sheer quality of the opposition really shone through in that third quarter and unfortunately made us pay for such bad disposal. Why isn't Lovett in the team, he is one who usually is quite assured in front of goal.

most the players on our list need to step up a level

Disappointing in the end to lose by as many goals as we should have kicked in the first half. Also disappointing to see McPhee stop to a walk on Melbourne's 50 when a bit of pressure on the opposition was what was needed.
On a positive note, our best players, in my opinion were some of our younger guys. Monfries did well in the first half, Bradley was solid and took some decent marks in defence, Slattery did a great job on 'The Flash' and Stanton could have kicked 5 if he had kicked straight. Still looks to have a suspect kicking action which has been a problem for a while now, although he does seem to have some friends in that area. I hid my eyes everytime NLM had the ball in the defensive 50. We really missed Fletchers field kicking today.

Agree totally, they at least put in a good effort, the kicking for goal was disappointing, but than can be improved on. All in all, I saw goods signs for next year, especially as we were missing our key forward & back players.

He was coughing up blood. Sadly we didn't really have any other option.
Fair enough then.. FFC commentators dont tell you that kind of thing cos they are so crap!

Essendon had a real crack and made an inform opponent (ok, they came off a couple of days less) look quite ordinary. Normally when a side catches the oppo on an off day then a win is on the way.

Essendon did not do this because
  1. Poor kicking for goal (Captain obvious board)
  2. Two Bomber players doing perfect passes to Melbourne forwards that both resulted in goals. This was a close game until Melbourne broke it open a little halfway through the third and those errors were tres costly.
  3. As the game went on, Essendon (appear to have) stopped running.
  4. Skill errors increased as the game went on.
  5. As my mob have found out, losing becomes a habit. The players drop their heads a little sooner and I think Essendon did this yesterday. As the commentator said 'the belief doesn't appear to be there'.
One other thing the commentators said was that it would not surprise if Essendon rebounded strongly next season. That can start as early as the Kangaroos game next week because even though you are 1-11, you have been competitive in many matches this season and the Roos look quite dispirited at the moment.
