On our board wayne carey is the most hated person ever, beacuse of the alleged incidents and the 2002 affair.

My question is, how do you guys feel about Gary Ablett Senior? after what he has done.

I feel Gaz is deeply troubled. Definitely lost without footy. Even lost with it according to some of what I've heard. Disappointing and hopefully he can find himself in the future.

Off the field, is his business, and should always have remained so.

Unfortunately, thanks to the media and the general publics interest in famous people's lives, they made it everyone else's business.

I don't think this because I'm biased. Wayne Carey, Ben Cousins, and the like in the media shits me to no end.

Makes me wonder how boring some people's lives are to be not only following, but also be judging these people (yes, they are people too you know).

Don't even get me started on the Corey Delaney shit.

Obviously, Gary Ablett Snr was one of the greatest footballers to ever grace the park. Though that was definitely weighed down with his off field exploits.

It is a shame that happened.

I agree that their personal lives are such, however being there when someone else dies due to drugs they were both ingesting is really out of the personal domain. If that happened to you or I, we would be facing a coronial enquiry just like Ablett did.

I agree that the Carey saga with the original relationship breakup was going over the top, as if that were a 'normal' person it wouldn't make news. Probably same goes for his latest stouches.

However, how hard is it to keep 'clean' and not make an idiot out of yourself? How many times does it take to make that a lesson in life, to move on and have some integrity in yourself to not let that happen again.

That is the question, not that his personal life is so. If these latest events didn't happen, everybody would be thinking he has turned his life around and is a stand up guy, because we don't see into his personal life, making it personal for him.

Though when you act in this matter, it is only a matter of time before you fall.

Garry's actions unfortunately lead to the death of a young girl. I'm sure he didn't mean it and I'm sure if he could have his time again he'd change things. Gary has always battled demons and has taken responsibilities for his actions in the past. I'd say he is more of a floored individual then a bad person

Wayne has shown no remorse for his deeds in the past and his arrogance in treating women and his team mates in mind boggling. Unlike Gary I think Wayne is a narcissistic, socio-path will stop at nothing to feed his inflated ego. He deserves everything he is currently getting.

One thing I'm well and truly sick of is people blaming Ablett for Horan's death.

She was a grown adult who made the choices she did. Her body reacted badly obviously to the substances she abused, but she chose to be a part of that. Gary did the same, he just happened to survive.

If his body had reacted poorly to the drugs and he died, would Horan then be held accountable or had the finger pointed at her? I think not.

Regarding Carey and incidents over the past year grain of salt please guys. We don't know the whole truth. The US incidents particularly may turn out to have a lot more to them than we've been told. Police in the US regularly arrest men who have been beaten almost to death by their wives or partners. Some have even been arrested whilst in hospital beds. Let's wait and see shall we.

The thing I find odd with the most recent one is that HE called the cops. Wait until the rest comes out please.

As far as G Ablett is concerned holding him responsible for the drug related death of another adult is a complete crock. The woman concerned was not a child and I doubt he forced her to consume the drugs responsible. I wonder how responsible she would be considered if he'd been the one to die.

I am deeply involved in advocacy relating to both physical and sexual abuse. Particularly in the US - and to a lesser extent in Australia - enforcement systems, judicial systems, feminist based abuse related advocacy and media coverage are severely slanted against men(and boys for that matter).

My advice is to be seriously sceptical about anything we are presented with in the media. It may come as a great surprise to you but women commit half of domestic abuse and a quarter of child sexual abuse. Nobody ever hears these things because the messages are consistantly drowned by feminist noise.

I have no argument with the proposition that Carey is a complete tool however.
