Now find the vid where he hops away from the contest during the Eagles game.

Watched a replay last night.

I think that was more a knee thing and was just a situation where he got himself into an awkward position, a third player in, he ended up underneath. Seemed fine soon after.

Cheers Mark, it was a bit hard to see what had happened att, all I saw was Gaz hobbling away from the contest and thought oh shit, hope he hasn't done anything to that leg again. Yes I did see that he was fine soon after which had me thinking that maybe it was that nerve thing playing up.

He's a great player and will only get better with game time experience and when they can sort out that bloody leg.

Thanks again.

Thought he did okay on the weekend. You just know if we had a weaker list he'd be getting enough playing time to smooth out some kinks. But he's pretty much a cameo player this year.

I still have massive hopes for Gaz.

Don't judge him until he gets the rod out of his leg and finally has a pre season. There is not one other player running around in the comp ATM with a rod in there leg besides bock and he has not been seen , so he is doing a pretty good job at having a crack with it in and going through pain etc . It's a big injury mentally and physically so I think we should hold of until he gets his body right.

I don't think anybody is giving up on him altogether. Just that there are more deserving players in the reserves with better form on the board than Rohan at the moment.

Essentially Rohan's pace and tackling set him apart and those are the only things keeping him in the side right now.

all true, hence why the club should probably just get the poor guy right

I said during game day last week Gaz was on the verge of doing something special. Signs were there. Didn't end up happening.

But the goal in the first was just awesome.

Best game of the year by a fair margin for me. I'm sure it helped that he got to play in the position he's been playing for the last 2 months or so int he reserves and he looked pretty comfortable. He made a few errors but that's to be expected.

He won't keep his spot over a fit Rhyce Shaw down back (and I'm not even 100% certain that he won't lose his spot in favour of Zak Jones for the next game) but I'm glad that he showed he can play down back. If he holds his spot there ahead of Jones for Hawthorn in two weeks, that will be an enormous challenge for him given he'll have to mind a dangerous player by default rather than Blaine Johnson or Tom Bell.

I thought he showed plenty last night. Went to ground and knew he was in trouble at one stage.... recovered and used his speed to recover and help break down the ensuing threat. Will be very good for us if and when he cements a spot in the 22

It was interesting to see him bob up at the centre bounce for the start of the 4th. Won a hard ball and put it 50m into Buddy's lap.

If he can go inside like that he will be a force one day.

His game yesterday was one of the best I've seen him play since his return from his injuries
yes still a few things to work on but he's going to get there

everytime i talk to him before he plays a senior game all he says is "I hope i play well I want to play well"
Confidence is his key and again like i said once that Rod is out he's really going to get it back and hopefully find some form

I like all of you only want the best from Gaz
and i know he's doing everything he can to do it

Soph,

When you talk to him next, just make sure that he realises that we are all behind him & want him to succeed.

We just love his pace & ability to take on players & want him to see do it more often, as he is really electric when he does & it is this that recharges the team.

In our eyes, he has succeeded already with his return from his broken leg.

I thought the leg injury had killed his career but last night gave me hope.

I prefer him to Zac.

Gary will follow in the Rhyce Shaw tradition. Running out of the back line like a wild train, driving the play forward and providing that hint of madness that every team needs.

I think this was his breakout game. In the coming years he will make this position his own.

I really like Gary, and cant wait for him to become the player he promises to be, but imo he doesnt fit in our best 22 this year.

His 3rd quarter was very good , he defended well with a couple very good spoils and intercept spoils and marks , he also used the ball well. His leap and speed separates him from some , just hope they give him time in that role if form warrants it because I think in that 3rd he showed more than he has ever playing forward.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery from the broken leg. The pins coming out is the next step, excuse the pun.

He also has 12 months plus of top level footy nous and experience to catch up on. I have high hopes he'll become an important swingman for us, much like the way Reid is being developed.

Midfielders and swingmen. You can never have too many of 'em.

He'd make a good replacement if Mal decides to cash in on his elite form.

Still a very different style of player to Malceski, doesn't have Malceski's disposal.

Malceski's closest replacement that is currently in the senior team would be Rampe and from the reserves Biggs.

Big test for Gary tomorrow night in his new role of HB and a little look into the future with no Shaw in , hope he defends well and uses his speed of HB and can break the lines . We just need him to start well and get some confidence , I for one am really looking forward to seeing him tomorrow on the big stage and if he can stand up and take the game on.
