It's half time and we have kicked 2. 10, and also Duncan, Ling and Pods (OMG!!!!) kicked it on the full. I know it's a wet and windy MCG tonight but bloody hell, what the f*** is wrong. We've dominated the Pies so far and are 10 pts down, and to be honest, we've given our all and Collingwood still have key players to come back in like Jolly and Maxwell.

Put that dominance in perspective though, teams coming off the bye generally start slow and Collingwood this season have been producing their best in the last quarter. The pessimist in me thinks they'll bolt ahead after half time.

Not all the time though. See Lingy? Kept it out left and you haven't seen a more gun barrell straight kick!! What happened to the wind then?

Stevie J has definitely lost his mojo. His snap on the left in the first quarter. He usually nails those.

Mackie is the weak link in the back line tonight but I can't believe how bad Hawkins is. If he isn't out of the side next week I will be going on strike and won't watch Geelong until he's out! I'll be shocked!! We must bring in Vardy.

But lets put coming off a bye in perspective too.

Maybe the first quarter, but we dominated all over the ground for the whole half. We should be 6 goals up at least.

We could get rolled over in the 4th. But boys, I think Collingwood has some company in 2011.

No more talk about Collingwood and then distance.

Im taking a bit out of this game.

The game plan is holding up. Kick straight we lead comfortably. Doubt will win tonight but theres a lot of upside
I'm with you on this, other than the kicking on goal, which is a ittle uncharacteristic for us, we have been playing pretty well. In this match, its more about the manner than the points.

We must remember that we wouldn't have that many behinds if it wasn't for the behind in the first place. Once we got it inside 50 the pies really struggled to get it out. OK it shouldn't have been THAT bad, but it's not as bad as it looks on paper. Just like Collingwoods behinds last year.

Leigh Matthews ragging on us all night about just kicking it long but Collingwood will pwn you if you try to be cute, we played some basic attacking footy and very strong structual footy at half forward and midfield. Sure it creates easy goals if they beat it, but we just created too many chances.

The result was almost irrelevant, this shows we have an idea on how to compete with the Pies. They still have a huge gain in Jolly to come, but we are only 1/3 of a season into a completely new coach and style of play.

I still don't have high expectations on our chances this year, but they are twice as high as when we started the year.

Pods has always been a nervous kick, but that shank was really on another level. Clinton Jones makes better contact than that effort.
