This was the team V the Kangaroos
B: Corey Enright, Matthew Scarlett, Andrew Mackie
HB: David Johnson, Matthew Egan, Darren Milburn
C: David Wojcinski, Jimmy Bartel, Mathew Stokes
HF: Paul Chapman, Cameron Mooney, James Kelly
F: Tom Hawkins, Nathan Ablett, Gary Ablett
FOLL: Steven King, Cameron Ling, Joel Corey
I/C: Mark Blake, Brent Prismall, Joel Selwood, Travis Varcoe.
Problem here, we have too many players who are the same, meaning they play similar roles.
Take out your obvious ones like Chapman, Scarlett, Milburn and co and the other players are of equal value. Geelong needs to look at players who play differently but can work well in a team.
Also there are too many Geelong players not wanting to take risks, to take on another player from the opposition. Is it because if they stuff up, they'll cop a blasting?? When my boys take on the opposition whether it comes off or not I'm glad they had a go.
It also seems a lot of Geelong players become contempt once they put in 1 or 2 efforts, or are in front...you can see it from the stands. And as for forwards not kicking a big enough score, they are not the only ones who need to be kicking goals.
Plenty of mids aswell mark inside or on 50, unless your on a really tight angle, then they should have a shot instead of mucking around with it inside 50.. this is why we have more F50 entries than any other club.
