I'd love someone to walk me through why lithium explorers are a good investment. I've also been under the impression that there is an abundance of lithium, and unlike copper, for example, its use is more targeted and more replaceable. All this could be fairly ignorant on my behalf, hence the question.

1. You are correct lithium isn't hard to find.
2. We are still going to need a lot mined.
3. I would not touch any explorer with a barge pole, not when you've been able to buy quality like pls that has been smashed with a brilliant balance sheet with the best mines.

Fair enough on comment 3, you're correct, there seems to be a lot of value in the single asset producer space.

A lot of the junior explorers with 'big' resource books are in brine rather than rock.
I think about 7 years is your standard timeframe for a junior explorers to produce lithium from brine - I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Trading below the cr price already.
Yep - fundies won't like that.
Seems to be trading in an upwards channel too.

What do people think about shorting the asx atm?
To me it feels like the market’s over valued
"The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay insolvent"

Many world indices are overvalued on a historical basis and the US is basically in recession as we speak (noting technically it is a lagging indicator). The Mag7 doing a lot of index heavy lifting over there.

I'm still hoarding cash as I'm expecting a pullback. No idea when so I'll wait and short when it happens.

I think the ASX will be one of the better performers over the short to medium term.

A country with a mandatory retirement savings program for its wealthy residents that direct those funds predominently into its local index is hard to ignore long-term, add to that the index has a significant commodity exposure, it feels like a decent bet.

That said, I'm no more informed than the average investor; we're all playing with our crystal balls.

My understanding is that the recent positive movements in the US have been non-Mag7, though I could be completely wrong.

I suspect Trump will win his Fed battle, and the markets will lift off, which, of course, leaves room for the eventual pullback and my comments below.

I think holding a decent amount of cash so that investors have the ability to buy in on the dips is always a good strategy.

Of course, this cash should be outside the emergency funds.

Hope investors in WAF made their money and got out. Sounds like another AVZ. Doubt I’ll ever see my $8K again…
Wow sorry that sucks man, I owned them a few years ago before they started mining. Made a few bucks punting on a couple of others in Africa but that's alway the risk other there unfortunately.

Further rate cuts in Australia may soften the blow a little on our markets.
Take care little.
