There's a bucketload of leadership in that group. Very happy to see Lewis take Garland's spot.

Next year, there should be another youngster pushing someone else out. Vince or Lewis would the candidates to become the elder statesmen.

Melbourne players were warming up before their intraclub at Olympic Park Oval, also known as Collingwood's training ground.

Gawn delivered a classic line as the players dug their boots into the turf in a drill: "Let's really leave a mark out here, boys," he said to laughter.

The rivalry is alive and well!

Cringe central. You can just tell he's trying to remember everything his wife told him in the morning about making eye contact with everyone in the room and speaking clearly. It's like a grade 3 kid delivering his first class presentation.. not really very inspiring.

Now we have to question goody's judgement as well as his communication skills. There was no need to change the captaincy set up. Jonesy is our rock and was only getting better as a leader after playing under roosy. Jack will be a great captain someday but at 22 there's no need to rush it. ****ing awful call by goody.
