I was the same with social media, everyone on it but I never was into it. I only joined fb when I moved to Cairns for a couple of years when I was in my mid 20s just to keep up with the goings on back home.Then I quickly realised how much I hated it. Haven't logged in for probably 14 years now.

Gossip, friends requests with why didn't you accept me, people trying to turn friends against friends over nothing, its bloody toxic .

I go by the rule, if I don't have your phone number I likely don't want to talk to you on social media either

For the past 5ish years I've only used it for the chat function as group convos are way better on Facebook than texting. But could be easily subbed out for WhatsApp etc. The events page is also handy from time to time.

Twitter is good because you can clearly filter out what you want and use it purely for news if that what's you're after.

I am surprised I'm alive with what I did from 18-34

Probably should have had kids earlier but then I would have missed out on all the fun and good stories that I can't remember anyway
