Why didn’t I think of this? Thanks mateI'm renovating 12 hours a day then drinking myself to sleep, will finish up just before game time. No time for nerves.
Started out a quick fix up for a couple years until we demolished and built something. But that was too expensive so I've been spending the last two years on and off basically rebuilding a new house while living in it with 4 people. It's going to look awesome in a couple monthsActually Theseventhhamster . please don’t take this the wrong way but are you ever going to reach a point when you are no longer renovating? Your house must already be unrecognisable to its previous tenants
One day I reckon I will be dozing on the Pakenham line when I suddenly look out and see this vast, jewelled castle and I will think it is Disneyland or Oz or heaven or something, but it will actually be your homeStarted out a quick fix up for a couple years until we demolished and built something. Perfect.Turning a 1940s house into a brand new 1920s house.
Timber stumps were a shit idea. I have restumped my house and now have a lot of firewood for my 2022 build pizza oven.Perfect.
They knew how to build back then.
Definitely do that. I would love a pizza oven. My partners brother got one and we thought it was sort of OTT, and bulky OTT at that, but it is actually brilliant and gets huge amounts of use. Plus it gives slightly insecure men something constructive to do on social occasions in prodding the woodfire unnecessarily and taking core heat temperatures or some suchTimber stumps were a sh*t idea. I built a beautiful red brick one way back when I was a brickie at the old house. Had no money so I didn't use the proper fire bricks, just leftover reds from jobs. It didn't retain heat though so it was a bit of a pain. Will do it right this time for the heat retention.Definitely do that. I would love a pizza oven.
