Received an email saying that my team was invalid as prices had increased since round 1? Pretty sure that I was under the cap before the round and now I can't keep my originally selected side? Can anyone shed some light on what's going on here?

Happened to me as well.

Has your round 1 score been counted and do you have a normal ranking, or is your ranking currently sitting almost last? I emailed support and they have told me I didn't have a valid team selected at lockout. I have always kept my team fully selected with captains and emergencies chosen, and always saved changes on a valid team. I reckon it might have glitched if I was playing around with a couple of non carlton/richmond players around the time the first partial lockout happened. But I never received any error messages or messages telling me my team was invalid at any stage.

I'm going to keep pestering them. Should have gotten 1903 which isn't world beating but its still a decent start. No way I'll keep playing if my score doesn't get reinstated. No wonder the numbers have dropped off in this comp the last few years...

Yeah I have had this email too.

I had 12k left in my salary cap and the team had the C, VC and emergencies selected.

Now I'm 20k over the cap and have a nil score.

I have NFI what the problem is.

Nope. Just said "It appears the team was not fully selected and saved correctly prior to lockout." Here's the team, was under budget at lockout before prices changed by about 19k from memory.

Seems like a bug regardless because you shouldn't be able to select players that exceed your cap range. What I'd do if I was you would be to add up all the prices of your starting 30 and then check it next to the starting cap to see whether you were in fact over or not.

I've found the support to be useless in the past - as in I can't even get a reply from them, best of luck with it.

I checked your teams starting prices, I got 16,000 less then the budget. You should double check but it appears under to me

They responded pretty quickly first up but haven't had anything since. Unfortunately the terms and conditions basically say they can do what they want, their decision is final and they won't even enter into correspondence, even if its their system that has screwed up. Probably a lost cause but it might help if you other folks who have had the same thing happen pester them with emails as well.

That sucks. it really looks like they started the season with a bug in it, you were unlucky to find it. What a way to kill the season and some fun

First time doing this, newb question,
What are the implications in using all of your cap?
I get that you don't want complete spuds as reserves just in case a player gets injured but it seems some people have pretty cheap teams.
What if their value sky rockets, does if make you deslect them if you go over or can you keep them because you got them when they were cheap?

You have 10 mill to start with. After that it is like the stoke market, you can go as high as you can.

The only reason to have cash in the bank is to enable trades in future rounds (upgrading).

Effectively the more money on the field, the more points you theoretically should make (though there are busts and successes). (ps. you should always have the player in the comp you will think will be the highest scorer as captain. double points. worth the money)

Apart from rucks (f#$%^#$% rucks), your rookies on the pine should be earning money, so that you can sell them for someone cheaper and add more money to the players starting on the field. (ps. a rookie not playing wont make you money)

Thanks for info. I have posted my side in the rate my team thread. Critique there gives me a day to make changes as the league I am in starts rd 2.

AFL Fantasy is better than last year but lightyears behind SuperCoach it's just pathetic. Doesn't update. Locked out for centuries. Glitchy & just not fun... the whole point is to be stressed about who to pick or make captain not log back in and re-enter whatever it was you were doing for the third time. They've just ruined it the last 5 years which is a shame as the "offical" game should be the leader of the pack. Right now the real DT & SC have left this piece of shit in their wake as far as Im concerned.

Yeah they cooked their game when then burned VS and made their own game which isn't anywhere near RDT.

Worst part about it is there are less people playing RDT this year so I can't help but wonder how much longer that game has left, hopefully a little while yet as it's by far the best game to play in my eyes.

So Dreamteam draft league question. I have Gary Ablett, I'm 0-3 due to a terrible run with injuries and I'm in dire need of a win. I've been offered two trades for Jr.

1. Marc Murphy for Gaz - straight swap
2. Shane Savage (B) and Jamie Elliot (F) for Gaz

I'm also wary of Gary coming back to hurt me big time if he suddenly comes back after 4 weeks and tears things up but I need results. What are your thoughts? I also, have the potential of looking into other backs along the lines of Shaun Burgoyne, Harry Cunningham and also forwards such as Travis Cloke and Tom Hawkins.

Would love your thoughts on the matter.
