Some lop-sided results today.

Lauderdale would be fuming at North Hobart. Didn’t seem to try. North Launie gained a heap of percentage.
Gonna be interesting next week, you’d think Lauderdale probably have to beat the Tigers now to make it.

Nth Hobart have lost last 3 games by 312 points. Scary to think what Launy might do this week. Agree Lauderdale probably need to win v Kingborough.

As bad as Glenorchy have been, they knew what they were in for this year.

NHFC have only beaten them!

Recruits, big pre-season with gun fitness coach, has yielded SFA for NH. Certainly far below what was expected.

I wonder what sort of review they'll have?.

At the start of the year certain individuals within NH were publicly beating their chest telling all and sundry how good they were going to be. Shelled out decent coin for some recruits who have given nothing. Quite nice the see some of these people with their tail well and truly between their legs. The club is a basket case and there is a greater chance Glenorchy will recover quicker than NH.

Possibly, but for the sake of a decent TSL competition we should want both of them to 'pick up their game'.

It seems the Northern suburbs, once a powerhouse of football have really struggled lately. Glenorchy New Norfolk, Brighton as well as North Hobart clearly need some help to some sort of help.

What do AFLTas actually do? Do they do anything in the schools, or to assist clubs rebuild? I don't hear anything said by them about this situation.

They have ex-players at other TSL clubs doing extremely well.
Even Mcculloch at DOSA with a myriad of ex NH players finished on top

51/60. Two northerners and Lauderdale. For North to get in, should Lauderdale lose: basing it around a realistic Glenorchy score of 50 and the barest possible loss for Lauderdale, if North win 163-50, Lauderdale lose 81-82, that puts both sides level on 1465-1250...

So Lauderdale better win! I think they should be ok, with North travelling and not really the settled combo you'd imagine romping to consecutive thrashings even if the opposition is really bad, plus the Tigers don't really have anything to prove...also, haven't seen if Lovell is in or not, so if he's not then the Tigers are very vulnerable...

If they don't, though, every point they lose by is one that North don't have to get against arguably the worst combination the statewide league has ever seen...

Launie
North Launie
Lauderdale
Hinds to win the Hudson
Lovell and tomkinson not in. I feel tigers want NL not to make it. If the devils lose first round of finals, NL are the second best team with their devils back.

Lauderdale are in.
Huge elimination final coming up vs Clarence.
Tigers have hit a real slump without Lovell and Tomkinson. North Launie would be fuming. That shot after the siren that hit the post, yet called a goal comes back to bite them.
Garland won the Hudson by a goal over Hinds.

Lauderdale did enough on Saturday. Never looked like losing. They've been a lot harder to score against in second half of season. A chance to play in the GF. Talk was missing finals would have caused a stir at the Tip.

After Launy it seems the other finals 3 teams are evenly matched. Kingborough not what they were at start of season. Clarence unlucky having 3 weeks between last game and first final. Nth Launy only 3 wins against teams above them. Don't deserve to be in finals.

Football has plumbed new depths if the TSL reckon the debacle of Hinds trying to scrounge a goal against NHFC in the dying minutes of the game was the Cripps play of the week. In 50 years of watching football I have never seen a match so poorly umpired or the whole essence of the game corrupted as was displayed in the last 10 minutes of the game.

I was stunned watching the game. The whole game was ambushed by the Hinds goal search. Developed into a farce in the last quarter which went for near 37 minutes some how. In the end a 34 year old still wins it based on some of his mates like Gus Nortons efforts during the game.

It wouldn't have mattered who was the winner if not Hinds. What self respecting footballer wants any score kicked on them. The Launceston players were pleading for NH to acquiesce.Displays a lack of awareness and arrogance in my view.

It was farcical and Launceston's coach showed a lack of respect to North when he said in the media before the game that it was just about Hinds kicking enough goals to win the medal. Certainly some interesting umpiring decisions in the last quarter that gave Hinds a few opportunities.

Ok, who knows what’s the go with the Launceston & North officials fracas? AFL TAS investigating, must be serious, they normally try and sweep everything under the carpet.

Talking to someone today from AFL Tas and there was some extremely ordinary sledging in the under 18s game from a Launceston player towards a North Hobart player which was totally unacceptable. The North Hobart President approached the Launceston Seniors coach to discuss the matter and he threatened to punch the North Hobart president in the face if he didn’t move on.

Heard the same thing.

Surprise Thorp didn’t threaten to end his career, I mean he’s said it before.
