We bought it a couple of weeks ago and I watched it today (was home sick) and it is absolutely sensational. Monty Python, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney just to name a few of the performers. Anyone else own it? If you don't have it I highly recommend that you buy it, it is superb.

It was very fitting concert put on by friends both personal and musical of the "musicians musician". The Indian influence was prevelant with Ravi Shankar, long time friend and teacher and Anouska providing some sitar playing which George introduced into Western Music. The Pythons were great friends as George saved their plight by financing the Life Of Brian back in 79. Tom Hanks even stands in with them its hilarious.

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr on stage together, Dhani eerily resembling his father cira 1965 strumming on an acoustic in the background as his father once did in the early days, Eric Clapton who put the whole show together, remnants of the Traveling Wilburys but no Dylan.

It was fitting that the last song was "I'll see you in my dreams" performed on his beloved ukelele.

It was a moving experience and I urge any fan to get it, there is some great moments on there

nearly all of his albums are finally available. try 33 and 1/3 for classic 70's rock/pop/r and b which has aged very well. cloud nine and live in japan are both brilliant. most people would have all things must pass in their collection if they are a true rock music fan

Great DVD. The only problem being the sound fading in and out slightly in some points. No-one has mentioned the two best on stage:

Jeff Lynne (Jeff 'the hair' Lynne...Absolute legend)
Marc Mann (Look for the black cap thats getting no credit for 90% of the guitar work...p*ss off Eric.)
Ray Cooper (Percussion...No-one could quite get into the music as much as him)

Best songs would be:

Isn't it a Pity
Something
Honey Don't
Horse to the Water
I want to tell you

The Inner Light was a highlight of mine. Great lyrics. What really made my spine tingle was the emotion and feeling in Billy Prestons singing in particular he performed rather soulfully not many people talk about Billy

Yes. He's very entertaining, particularly when he sticks he teeth out while hammering the keyboard. :D

have you seen on the anthology when he does the keyboard solo on the long and winding road how he sticks his teeth out and appeared to be nodding his head and smelling the keys, i liked his style. no wonder he was used by george throughout his solo career and the stones also underrated as a musician in his own right. thats the way god planned it being one of his great numbers. did you know that the song what is life george intended it for billy but decided luckily to do his own version and put it on ATMP
