He farked up but he knows it and apologised to the fans and his team mates but there were worse things than he did.
7 posters and so many missed shots at goal.
Houli's missed kick wouldn't even be under consideration if we took our chances.
Houli has been a class act since joining Tigerland.
Get around him for this weeks game.

Carn the Tiges!

Well said, smasha, has been a fine player since arriving and any questioning his courage and commitment need...best not say!

Good thread.

Bachar does the majority of our kick-ins, and he rarely stuffs up. You don't notice until he does. He was really hurting... and they're the kind of blokes I want on the team. Peeps taking potshots at his effort? Piss off. The bloke fasts during daylight, for a month every year for his religion... his commitment to the cause can never be doubted.

Am a big fan of Bachar and do not believe he should bear the brunt of the Freo game.
However, am a bit concerned with his saying he will be doing the kick-ins and taking the first kick-in against the Hawks on Friday. Yes, you have to get back on the horse and all that, but IMO he's putting unnecessary pressure on himself. I don't doubt his courage and commitment but reckon the Hawks will really target him.

What if we keep the Hawks pointless?

Out of interest and please excuse my ignorance but when is Ramadan ?

That they did. Everyone has off days, but Cotchin in particular, his set shots have been shitful all season.
Id say most of his career, needs to play on, dusty is the same, never confident when they take a set shot, griffo is the same, better from further out

One mistake does not define a man.

Just because you've got a long beard, it doesn't make you Robinson Crusoe. Bachar had lotsa company.

He took responsibility for the mistake. I'm sure that behind closed doors, Cotchin, Lids, Martin, Jack, Griffiths and Lloyd would have also took responsibility for their actions equally. The Auskickers at half time were more accurate from 35 meters out.

Singling out one action amongst the many mistakes is only painting part of the overall picture.

I'm more pissed that the Kruizer "not a mark" was highlighted for days on all media channels, yet Pavlich's Shepard / holding / high contact / chopping of Rance's arms was paid TO him, not against him. Was easily the worst free of the year. I guess it didn't happen in the last 60 seconds - so it is ok.

Good teams go for the big play, Houli did and it didn't pay off. I don't begrudge him one bit. We'd be all lauding and singing his praises had he hit Lambert on the chest alas it was not meant to be.

I find the calls for his dropping quite amusing. If those who want that had their way, enjoy a game this Friday where the entire game is played in our defensive 50m such is our lack of drive from our 50 without Houli launching the attack.
