This is a major step to recovery.
Fingers crossed.
In my experience, and that's all I've got to go on, acknowledging the illness is the best way to understand and then manage it.

It's a hard pill to swallow that he might not appear for us in 2016, but his long term health is far more important than playing a bit of footy this season.

The injuries have clearly had a mental impact on him. Not saying that's the only thing of course, but he was nearly right for Round 1 after all. But then facing the disappointment of missing out, and then being ruled out for a couple of months, it would have made things even tougher for him than they already were.

He's still going to be a ripper of a player for us!
