Getting a Job

Im looking to get my first part time job, im 15 and i'm wondering where would be a good place to try and get a job.

Would Coles be a good?, or should I go to a different place(fish and chips, charcoal chicken, etc)?

I applied for Woolworths/Safeway and got an interview in 2 days. Applied for Coles on 22th and still waiting... And I'm 15 too.

I can second that. Did cricket umpiring for 5 seaons when i turned 15/16 or so. Was good money for my age then - $60 Junior games - 62 overs for U14's and 71 overs for U16's...so 4 or 4.5 hours on a Saturday arvo. Was asked to do Seniors within the end of my first season, although I turned that offer down. Wasnt that interested in umpiring cricket of guys who were older than me!!!!!

I'll be looking for a job come the end of this year. I would prefer to stay out of fast food and go to a supermarket/retail store. Theres a Safeway five minutes up the road and I wouldn't mind working there.

Heres my big question, I'm 15 on Janurary 12. Whats the go with getting a job over summer? I hear 14 & 9 months sometimes, I also hear that it's 15 now. Any ideas?

Coles nightfill. I've never done it myself. But it seems a good start. Very simple, doesn't have the pressure of dealing with customers, you'll get an idea of how things don't just magically happen and work needs to be done...Seems good for a 15 yo to me. I'm trying to get my 16 year old bro to do it.

And yes, it's 15 now. There are new laws. My mate told me that his mate was told to stop because the laws had changed to 15 and he is 14. Probably complete bs, but yeah. Anyway it is 15 because we know some coppers and they told us.
