From my OP i think i am also going to add D Kerr to that list of the Stay away from players!! He will get the No1 Tag each week and is prone to brainsnaps, suspensions and 50m penalties against. Not a good option at 482,000.

Another player I got burnt with last year was Johncock.

I brought Stiffy in as a premium back towards the end of last year just when he started scoring like a dud. Then he got dropped with rumours of him smoking or something......I won't be touchin the stiffmeister this year.

Add me to the floppy list owners from last year! Grrr!

if Johncock is back on the straight and narrow i'd say he's under priced this year. the intense media scrutiny he endured might be a good thing for his fantasy prospects this year. there's no doubt he was an elite back for the first half of last year.

Brennan didn't have a score under 83 from round 15 onwards last year, with 5 of his last 8 games being 100+ (3 being 125+). if he plays a similar role he's good value at under 500k.

i don't have either but i think you could do worse.

Totally agree with everything you just said there mate. You are one very smart apprentice. :D:thumbsu:

I think another thing that killed his score last year is he was made to go forward after porps and birdman went down with injury.......he looked lost up forward tbh. If he is used in this roll again he'll post some dud scores.......which is why i'm steering clear of him in 09.

Not sure how Stiffy will play this year. It depends on Burton, Porps and Hentschel keeping fit and whether Sellar will be any good up forward this year.

Gonna be a bit hard for Burton to do anything mate with that injured knee of his. Out for the whole season. :D

Stiffy should never be used forward IMO and either should Bock. Taylor Walker, Hentschel, Tippet, Porps, Goodwin and even Dangerfield should all be forward instead.

How about Cameron Mooney!, this hack actually had a solid 07 and for some reason I convinced myself that as the number 1 forward in the number 1 team with the number 1 midfield it was a licence to score sc points......well well well, what a spud!

I don't think he did that bad considering his limitations. He is never going to be a star, etc so you can't expect him to pull out Riewoldt SC scores. It was just the GF that seems to stick in my head in terms of his horrible games last year! :p

I agree, Cam Mooney = Money muncher, with not many SC points in return. Much better options available for his money.

Chapman's hamstring problems burned me. The worst part is I know from one of the Geelong Cat's physios that he doesn't follow the recovery program properly causing him to be out longer than he should be.
Cornes... traded him in as a premium then watched him self-destruct. What a champ though he played through injuries and still delivered decent scores.

Stay away from key (goal square) forwards.

The players that have their score largely depending on goals not possessions are very unreliable. Fevola is the perfect example of that. If he doesn't kick a bag he scores 15 points. Roughead as well, and there are many others. Keep clear.

Greg broughton - in, out, in, out

Luke ball - thought he was supposed to be over his injuries. Shoulda stuck with Joel Selwood. Hope he has a good second half (im sure he will if i trade him)

Travis Tuck - Glad i stuck with hasleby

K.Cornes - Not sure he can reach the heights of 2005-2007. Bad move. Shoulda gone gibbs.

Bloody petrenko - why didnt i stick with hill. ignore his preseason SC scores and nonsense about him being skinny.

Taylor walker - picked him over Ziebell cause i was sure he would get named. Paid too much attention to Ziebell's SC preseason scores and not enough to the way he looked on the field. Top ten draught picks usually come good. bad move.

Jed Adcock - tease

Ive made 4 real errors this year and its burnt me bad. The difference between top 200 and top 2000. I Shoulda had hill and ziebell. Shoulda had Selwood and gibbs over ball and K. cornes.
