bring on 09 baby! if we are lucky with a few key players we could do anything next season.

Cogs = if he gets back to his regular playing we add a whole new dimension to our midfield with a hard at it top line player. he looks fit and ready to go.

Browny = if he fires then watch out AFL. need i remind you all of our first half of 2006 when he was on song? we were nigh on unbeatable. Then he broke his leg. Game over. when he is on song he will destroy ANY defender and ANY team (just ask collingwood and james clement). also looks fit and ready to go.

Cuz = one of the best mids of our time. also has a massive point to prove. say what you will about his drug use, but the fact that he was doing all that and still kept his game on is simply amazing. this guy must have an indominatable will. if he plays anywhere near his best then we suddenly have so much more.

Just three reasons to think we could be in for a big year boys and girls.

Coughlan's regular playing in the last couple of years has been non-existant, a better phrase would be pre-reconstructions self.
Brown and Cousins, if they could get back to their old selves...*drools*
It won't happen though, they are both aging.
An injury free season and a few form increases could give Richmond a Grand Final berth.

Something along the lines that while Jake King is getting a game we are no where near it? I wouldnt totally disagree with that but he will be fighting for a spot this year I hope.

I'm more excited than I have EVER been pre season and I've a few seasons under my belt. Honestly just look at the list.

Brown a gun. Fit. Richo is Richo, the king of Melbourne. Bowden will be free to move a bit. Cousins if he is 90% of his capability - and hopefully he wil be 100% - will be a revelation. All those guys are 200 game All Australians and only Richo is over 30.

Cotchin Deledio, Riewoldt are all guns. Great young players.

My friends we are still abit lighton 24 to 28 year old matchwinners butwe are now a real top 4 threat. Take away Geelong and Hawthorn and I see no one obviously better than us and we can challenge even them if we have Brown and Cousins fit and firing.

this is my most exciting build up to a season as well and i cant wait till round 1.
the only thing im worried about is all the pressure on us in the build up to the game similar to carlton last year and if we end up losing it. it would have to be one of the worst feelings i rekon.
