Geelong did have a fair go at him the last time he was OOC as i recall so could be true. In reality i think if he was an FA we would be happy to pay enough $ that he would get rich band 2 compo and i think they would let him go for that. Pity his contract cant be voided to allow that. The fact that he is contracted makes it difficult to see it getting done. I do think it's geelong or richmond next year though,cant see him going to any other club.

Yep. There's possible ways it could happen but it would require Deledio basically walking out on his long-term club and Richmond not forcing him to stay. Seems unlikely.

I don't know what I'd want to give up but I think Darling is exactly what we need; a tall, mobile, young(24) forward who leads up the ground and takes contested marks.

If people want to crucify him for missing two marks in finals then go ahead but he's not the only player to do it.

Spewed when we passed over him in 2010 draft for Billie Smedts and again for Guthrie who's tracking o/k but you don't get to many cracks at forwards his size if you are a successful club,I'd have snapped him up at the time.

They only passed him up because of his "party boy trouble maker" reputation. I think that's why most clubs passed him up.

I heard this aswell i didnt quite understand what they ment by this.. so they wont trade a player but will have to give up something .. how would they pick him up if we dont trade for him. Im hoping you understand this better than what i do. Im a little confused

Would definitely like him at the club, wouldn't want to pay anything more than one of our VFL players as you named or maybe a third rounder.
