It has been a tough couple of years on the Cats’ board. Without any proper supervision, the board hasn’t really been moderated properly. I can recall a number of threads which should have been deleted, but hopefully we will not have to wait much longer. The Cats’ posters are good ones. Really good ones, in fact. And I believe the board is far too good to go without a moderator. The sooner we get a moderator, the better for everyone.

Suggestions have been thrown left, right and center. The majority of the votes, though, going to a 24-year-old lad from Boronia named ScouseCat, who deserves a chance at fame. The Geelong board needs it, too. It will be a safer world for everyone.

The keen Cats supporter had this to say about the possible circumstance.

“I love Footy. I love Geelong. I just want to be a part of them forever. If I get given the chance, I promise I will not let the Cats’ board down. I will know how to handle a situation that needs to be sorted out, and I will do my very and utmost best to make the Geelong board the best in the business.”

ScouseCat would make the Cats’ board a fantastic and very wonderful place. Inferno_03 also agrees.

“Look, apart from the time that I heard him swear for the very first time, he has not harmed a fly. He is a sensational young man. I promise to go on the Cats’ board more if ScouseCat becomes moderator.”

Ever since December 2002, ScouseCat has given his all to please everyone at Bigfooty. His daily contribution to the Cats’ board is phenomenal. The guy, as Inferno stated, couldn’t harm a fly. Without a doubt, ScouseCat has been there right from the start and never has a mean thing to say on Bigfooty. Being a moderator will be a mini stepping-key for ScouseCat before he comes premier of Victoria, just like the Cats supporter in Steve Bracks, and possibly even lead Australia into a new era, being Prime Minister.

“ScouseCat is very high in the ranks. He loves everyone. He is a lovely lad. I remember one night over a meal of Macaroni cheese when the man asked me if I thought he’d make a good moderator. Of course, I said yes. You would have to be an idiot to think Scousey wouldn’t be a good moderator”, X_box_X said.

The time has come for the Geelong board to join a new and better era. ScouseCat will make the board extremely user friendly. Scousey knows right from wrong. Scousey will not let you down. No way.

I have had the honor and the priveledge of meeting Darren (aka ScouseCat and his alias') and his is one of the nicest blokes you'll ever wish to meet. I mean when i was stuck in melbourne, with no money, lost me bus ticket back home, i was doomed, but who came to the rescue? it was good ol' Daz, paid for me bus ticket home, and even bought a 600ml Vanilla Coke for me. this is just one of the many examples of how much of a heart this guy has.

Now the has been some controveries regarding afew people here, but through the midst of it, Darren didn't do one thing wrong, he kept his cool, and just ignored what they were saying, he showed a level of Maturity that has probably never been reached before, others would have just gone off their head, but not Darren he acted as mature as a...well i guess you could say as mature as a moderator. and i'm sure if a situation arised that Darren would sure know how to handle it.

Now this site is all about footy, that is what it is here for, it was made for the purpose of fans getting on the internet and posting good clean footy talk. And if you have met Darren you will know that he ahs a range of footy knowledge and probably one of the smartest posters here, footy wise. You ask him anything he'll know it. this guys is a footy brain, and if you were going to be a moderator you would have to know a fair bit about your football

Amongst other qualities, Darren has a sense of humour. Now your probably thinking what the hell is a sense of humour got to do with moderating? well it has a lot to do with it. Say a another fan of an opposing team comes on and has a little gag about an up and coming game, if the moderator didn't have a sense of humour he would probably delete the thread, which is his right but then no-one would be having any fun, plus it's good to bag each other's sides a little bit. However sometimes they do get out of hand and Darren sure knows when to draw the line.

So in conclusion, with all these attributes, ithink that Darren, is professionally fit for the job of moderating. And i know i am not a regualr poster on the geelong footy board, but as I said i know him personally and my upmost opinion is that he is appointed Moderator of the Geelong football board, because i don't know anyone on here that i think can do a better job then good ol' ScouseCat

There's quite a few people who post on our board, and although I have a couple of well-known aliases such as Steve Bracks, they only appear when I'm mucking around, trying to lighten the place up a bit.
