Okay to start off there was only one thread about ghosts and that was three years old so i'm not even going to bump it.

Do you believe in ghosts and do you have any stories?

I'm skeptical and not to sure, but last year I went on a Ghost Tour at Port Arthur, which wasn't scary. He made it out to be scary with the stories but if I saw a ghost at the tour i'd be happy.

We did end up taking some pics and got around 15 so called 'orbs' each in the two pictures.

Anyone want to share?

Port Arthur isn't scary, but it is certainly fun. I've been on it twice, to different places, different stories, it is interesting. But like you I didn't see any ghosts, or feel anything out of the ordinary.

And don't worry, I bet everybody who takes a picture there gets Orbs, just camera flare.

I'm certainly interested in ghosts, I went through a phase a while ago where I did nothing but spend my time online looking at 'ghost cams' (sad... very sad). But I'm yet to see anything, so I haven't made up my mind.

I believe more in Aliens than I do ghosts. But basically anything paranormal or supernatural I'm interested in.

Yeah I went through a phase like that, I don't think it was camera flare because it was at 10 at night and it was outside an no one else had a camera.

I can remember two stories now that I think really hard, they happened ages ago.

Old old house, the doors used to slam shut and I would run down and they would be locked, then I saw a dark figure stand at my bed once.

Another time I had my step-sister over and we were in my brothers room with me, him and step sis talking on the bed. The door slammed shut, the lights started flickering like crazy and the vanishan blinds starting flickering like crazy, also in that house the pans would rattle and the door would slam shut. My step-dad could always smell smoke when he went to bed, and there were strange shadows down the hallways.

Can't remember any furthur back.

I can't say I've had any experiences to do with ghosts.

I've heard some from family. My mum says that when she was in her 20's, she woke up one night and saw somebody crying on the end of her bed. When she got up to ask who it was, it just disappeared.

Or my personal favourite, which has an Urban Legend to back it up. My mum and dad were away at Yarrawonga years ago with another couple who were their friends. Basically this couple got into a massive fight, so the guy took the car and just took off driving away from Yarrawonga. He only turned around because on the road he saw a lady in a white dress, he couldn't brake in time, and ended up driving right through her.

I don't believe it, but I don't not believe it. But he is dead serious about it.

Anyway if you want some good flash videos about ghosts/urban legends. Check out http://www.jkcinema.com and watch the Urban Legend flash videos. They are always good quality, except the latest installment 'Spiritcom' worst of the lot.

There is no way what so ever that ghosts actaully exist. I can't beleive that people actually believe in them. Well I can't say I'm surprised, i mean people do believe in stupid things such as and afterlife, global warming and religion.

You left out Scientology in your list of stupid beliefs.

I can understand Christians, Buddhism, and most other kinds of religions. But anyone who can look me in the eye and tell me they believe in Scientology has clearly been taking too many drugs.

Forgot about that one :p

But still I don't see how it is any different than any other religion. Nothing is real and we all know it is full of bull.

Yeh but the way I see it, is it helps people get through times of need.

If believing in God makes people happy, then so be it. I let them have their belief. It's only the ones who try and force their beliefs down my throat when I make fun of them.

The best is:

Me: "Prove to me that God exists."
Them: "We don't need proof. He exists."
Me: "Ok then, I am God."
Them: "Prove it."

Hahaha

But it really frustrates me that people can honestly believe in something that there is no proof to back up their claims. I respect their rights to do so, but it is soooo frustrating.

Last year in year 12, I had to give a speech to my English class on a doco/issue. Mine was about how religion is fake and bull. It lasted 15 mins, 10 mins more than everyone else. I got 23/25 and the class went psycho afterwards as I got the highest score. They say I offended them all and everything. It was hilarious :D

But the good thing was was that the teacher liked it and said it was one of the best speeches she ever heard. So many people had a fit after my speech. Well I did go out of my way to offend religion but it sure was funny. I put jokes in and everything. My favourite was when I linked priests and boys and confession boxes. I'm sure you can make the remaining link. Funny stuff my speech :D If only it went on youtube.

If you look objectively at some of the main tenets of Christianity you're not too far off the whacky beliefs of Scientology! Jewish guy who is also his own father is crucified and comes back to life, but magically ascends to a place we can't see but is also constantly all around us, and died in order to cleanse us of sins which are present in all humans just because a snake convinced a woman - made out of the rib of a guy who in turn was made out of dirt - to eat an apple off a tree of knowledge?

And no, I do not believe in ghosts.

I work permanent nightshift in various metropolitan hospitals and Iv'e heard some strange things and seen some odd things. Where there hauntings or ghost I cannot say for certain.
Ghosts or not, I cannot conclusively prove, but I certainly beleive in the paranormal. A lot of things people think they see or here can be eliminated by normal explanation. Sometimes not, and that to me falls into paranormal. There are quite a few co workers of dofferent professions that I have spoken to where I workl that speak of similar expereinces. I personally, beleive in the paranormal.

Yes, if I had to pick one of them. That makes a WHOLE lot of sense compared to an Evil Lord Alien who rounded up different types of aliens, froze them and flew them to Earth in planes, dumped them in volcanos, blew them up with hydrogen bombs, then captured their spirits (thetans) and took them to giant 3d cinema where they were brainwashed about things like Dinosaurs, Jesus, etc. then they were released and latched on to the humans bodys, holding them back from their superhuman powers...

Come to think of it. I think I will become a Scientologist now. I can't believe I am missing out on all this.

Nice debate on religion, maybe move back to Ghosts now?

Anyone got any pictures of the internet :p?

Loads on the net and on youtube. I was once in a phase and was really interested in the looking and researching about the existence of ghosts. Back in grade 6, my friends and I would stay in the library and look at pictures of ghosts in those supernatural sections. Lets just say it drove me into insanity and have developed a phobia.

Now, I don't dare to look at any pictures. I believe in them though I never seen one, and I hope I'll never see one. I'll shit my pants.

I was over a mate's house with a few friends one night. One mate went outside and came back terrified. He claimed that he saw a tennis ball come into the yard from next door (we had hit it over the fence while playing backyard cricket and couldn't locate it). When he looked over the fence he didn't see a neighbour but a ghost instead. Not your garden variety ghost mind you, it was in the form of a ghost or as it's now called, a Ghost Bear.

Anyon else had any experiences of ghosts that are/look like bears returning lost tennis balls from backyard cricket games?

I'm not so sure your friend is correct... Never heard of a Ghost Bear?

I know Ghost Bears exist, the only question is whether they are ghosts of dead bears or they are just ghosts that happen to look like bears. I'd say the former but why would a dead bear be in Pascoe Vale? Maybe it died at the Zoo, not a massive distance away.

When my Bro and his GF were living at home, one night she went to the kitchen to get a drink. Turned around and there was an old man standing in the door way. She was a bit freaked out by this and explained what he looked like. She told him what he was wearing and what he looked like and it turns out she gave him almost an exact description of my grandfather, whom shes never seen before.

Mum says the house is haunted and has seen him walking around at times. Like the front door opening and closing and she expecting someone to walk in and no one is there. Haven't seen anything myself though.
