Pleasantly surprised by the crowd here. Very orange. Lots of support for the new team. Just need to back it up with a result here in the last quarter
Tight contest. Seems to be slowly tipping our way in the arm wrestle.
This is the longest Ive ever watched a netball game and its actually pretty good but the crowd is what stands out to me the most, to generate this level of support this early is crazy.
Well done girls. More Giants history. You could see them running down the Swifts as the game wore on.

Not a Netball watcher, was just checking in on the scores from time to time. Seemed like we were a fair way down when last I checked then turned it over during a post match interview with the player of the game wearing a swifts dress, thought we'd been done.

Women sitting next to us at Blacktown had their Giants netball memberships and netball scarves on; but they also appeared to know the AFLW grrlz from Newtown Breakaways (Big Cody Briggs fans).
Reckon the Giants Family captured them.

Netball not my thing but I get it's the club sinking roots into the Community, good to see.
I felt slightly conflicted watching that game. In the end, I was very disappointed. Yup, I'm still a Swifts fan! But, Giants will be my definitely be my "second" team, though.
Definitely a young side. It was pillaged end of last season. There's some talent there, but not enough to go very far this season. My realistic expectations for this season is to be competitive in their matches. So far, so good.
Ahh well, you always, in the end, gotta go with the sporting emotion, I suppose. The team that pulls the strings hardest is the one for you.
But who knows... there's a long game being played out too.
It will be a long season for the swifts. Seriously lacking experience. When Fitzgerald was named Giants coach it's no surprise some of those that played under her at the swifts followed her across
