I have been a big critic of Gibbs since day one. He has consistantly failed to show any signs that he will one day live up to his number one pick status, and Carlton are looking a lot more stupid given how well Joel Selwood, who was taken later in the draft has been playing since day one. One of the most disappointing things about Gibbs has been his presence around the ground. On a number of occassions he has pulled out of contests, and it has often seemed that Gibbs is literally scared of body contact.

Tonight though, I was impressed with one incident in particular. Gibbs went in hard and hit the man harder than I have ever seen him do before. He did a lot in the eyes of a neutral supporter to destroy his 'soft' tag. The shephard which he laid was perhaps the toughest thing I have ever seen him done.

It's just a shame that the guy he hit was Marc Murphy. What a waste of space Gibbs is.

HAHA you had me going there for a second before I read your final line. Funny stuff mate:D:thumbsu::D

do u really think we give a stuff what u think u stupid Geelong tosser. Gibbs is going to be an absolute star and muppets like u are just going to look plain stupid when he hits his peak. i am pretty dissapointed about losing again but i think i might go watch the 95 grand final. that always cheers me up :thumbsu:

Based on your response, I think you do. I can't believe you still think he's going to be a star. The closest thing to a star Gibbs will ever be is the star on the end of his wand when he goes to the annual club fancy dress party as a fairy.

we should send him to Geelong then. he would fit right in with your handbag culture. i hope u understand everyone still sees yous as handbaggers. your going to have to win more than one flag every 40 years to shake that tag.

In all seriousness he will be towelling you guys up for a long time to come

Haha, good stuff.

Felt like I was being led down a path there.

That's sort of what non-prescription drugs do for you.

That last sentence is based on the assumption that he's towelled us up in the past, but I actually don't think he played against us in Round 2 last year, and if he did, he had little or no impact on the game whatsoever.

Selwood - Rising Star award winner and Premiership player
Gibbs - Sweet FA.
