From what I understand we'll go with Jacobs and Giles in the same team and whoever isn't rucking will be forward.... Giles playing slighty more Forward than Jacobs

Once the Tippett saga is Sorted we'll make a our play.... couple Of Vic Clubs interested offering more to GWS than us presently But Giles 1st prefrence is Adelaide we have the money to pay him. Just have to wait and see if we can get the Currency to trade for him.

If Brisbane got him and uses him as a KPF, they're probably going to be quite disappointed with the output.

He kicked 18 last year in side with poor forward entry. Put him on the end of a midfield of Thomo, Vince, Dangerfield and Sloane, and he is going to be more dangerous.

Isn't Graham out of contract? So GWS could sign him straight up as an uncontracted player? No need for a trade.

I don't really get the theory behind the Giles negotiations either, but my suspicion was that GWS didn't budget for Giles to have the year that he had. They would've had their plans laid out, and assumed that Giles would have an adequate year and be willing to sign on for another couple of years on the cheap, so less than what they're now offering him. "Unfortunately" Giles lit it up, so is looking for more cash and a longer contract which threw out the calculations. Blake probably comes into the picture because he'll presumably be willing to sign on for less than what Giles was being offered.

Graham is contracted until the end of 2013. He is being shopped around though, with Adelaide and North Melbourne showing interest

IIRC he kicked the majority of those running into the forward line or from a mark in broken play, occasionally on the lead from a fellow ruckman. I suspect any decent KPD would be able to shut him down on the lead and in contested marking. I love the guy, but his best position is running his opponent into the ground, not camped up forward.

AND a draft pick? I assume it'd be #62 and not #13 considering GWS have nothing in the middle haha

I wondered if we might get in on the deal originally through #20 and/or #24 but they're gone now. Seems a logical option if Giles is to go, we'll see how it plays out.

I completely agree. Warnock is a huge downgrade from Giles. Not sure, just repeating what I saw on an article in the HS.

Given that Sydney don't have any attractive picks available, I think they'd struggle to get a deal done with GWS. Obviously they weren't interested in Seaby, since he was delisted after the first day of meetings. White offers even less, so I doubt he'd be more attractive. TDL might have a bit of currency, but probably not enough for Giles.

I don't see how it could be done, which is frustrating when it's a logical part of a Tippett deal.
