Seriously, when was the last time we were this poor? I know we had a few lean years in '04 and '05, and our spoon year in '99 to cap off a lean stretch, but I feel like this is something different. It feels like we're not motivated and lacking any real spirit. It's hard to watch, to be frank.

I just feel that, even though we had numerous bad results in those years, there was still semblance that something was coming, especially in 2005. Obviously a spoon in '99 would be enough to suggest that it was a very poor year but if you look back, there were a number of close games. We lost 7 games by less than three goals. The story was similar in '05. In both cases there were signs that we were headed somewhere. In contrast, our trajectory seems downward at this point. Maybe this year our second half of the year will be the same as the first half of the last two years but something sure ain't right in Pieland at the moment.

Looking ahead, we have a good stretch of games. Three weeks ago they all looked winnable, now we'll be lucky to get two.

Universe, please make my dour forecast look ridiculous in hindsight.

Agree Crisp has been pretty crap in the first 2 games, against St Kilda his effort level was better.

Disposal is our main issue, everyone says we are slow. When you don't have the ball a team of Usain Bolts would look slow.

Whilst I agree we were poor. It's ironic St Kilda said this. They have been shit for decades.
