Have fallen away here after a good first quarter. We've conceded the last four goals. Our backs can't go with their marking taller forwards. Up forward, we're kicking to 1 vs 2 contests and the ball is getting rebounded too easily and we're not defending across the ground too well. Sweet has been good. Sinn and Georgiades busy. Scully not into it yet. Lorenz the best of the first year players. Anastosopoulos and Charleson a bit rattled in my opinion - disappointed with both so far. Walsh is prone to a lot of clangers but attacks the footy hard.

Previously we have had a good midfield in the SANFL and nothing else, now we have the complete opposite. Why would you play top up players in there ahead of AFL listed players?
Because there are no AFL listed pure mids.

Jackson is injured, Mead is in the AFL team, Sinn and Williams are half back and the 1st year smalls are forwards. The only one who is a midfielder is Narkle.

Seems to be a gameplan/structure issue since the AFL side is also very leaky and allows for easy rebound goals

So many free kicks conceded. Once it gets into their forward line, they mark everything virtually uncontested. We're the opposite. We can't find Scully or Georgiades and fail to kick to their advantage.

You’re right we’ve missing mead but sinn can and should be getting some centre square minutes, particularly when we need some pace and skill

Sinn Williams and Narkle could all go through the midfield

Handballing to your teammate would solve it. It should punish them for having poor skills.
Na, that's exactly the problem with the rule. It's an imperfect game, played with a ball that is not predictable or easy to control. Bad disposals that are only slightly off, shouldn't be penalized like that in our game. It's stupid and against the fabric of it. The rule is a joke and needs to go.

Excellent goal from Georgiades. He has looked good. Scully is competing but just can't stick his marks or get free. Too often competing for marks against multiple opponents or out of position.
