Last night, we draggeed our kids out of bed at 10.45 pm, drove to Gloucester Park, Parked illegally (like everyone else) and sat directly under themost intense fireworks display I have ever seen. They were betteer than Australia Day because they were so close. Then we sat in traffic for about ten minutes or so on Wellington Crescent, got on the causeway and were home in Armadale again by 1 AM. Perfect night.

Did anyone else on here see those fireworks?

What did you think?

i was on canning bridge at 12. i saw the fireworks at glouster park. there were also some just past the mount henry, some further south and some a bit past the yacht club. the one thing that i learnt is that nobody bothers to synchronise their watches. happy new year.

You should see the fireworks at Rally Australia... they were really cool (and loud but thats coz we were right underneath them!)

Didnt see any fireworks but i heard some (though probably "illegal" ones lit in the park)

At the Cott for the whole night, and there were fireworks. But not the type you'd take your kid to see.

Second time ive gone to Gloucester park for new years, and I agree that the closeness to the display makes it better than the Australia Day ones, which always ultimately leave me disappointed.

Only display Ive seen that was better was when the Festival of Perth had a display in Langley park a few years back. It was an "Interactive" fireworks show where you had to walk alongside rather large moving pyrotechnics for a distance before stopping to watch a kick arse fireworks display

Hope the known WCE Pugilists weren't on the card!

A couple, but I also saw Medhurst, Hasleby and Pavs trying to get their fair share :)
