More than any other club in the AFL, i hate the Hawks a gazillion times more.

I hate the fans, i hate pres, i hate the guernsy, i hate everything about them.

It used to be the Eagles, but now, it is Hwathorn with daylight second.

As a club the Pies are up there, but on BigFooty, the Dawks are the indisputed kings of annoyance and idiocy.

I can't wait to play and thump them, send them back to Earth with a thud.

As much as Id like to see them get a belting and come back to earth sooner rather than later, Id love to see them undefeated come round 17, our boys seem to have created a habit of really setting themselves for match ups against so called challengers, the more the hype and expectation the harder we will flog them.

Sorry but the colonwood takes the cake they're just "pure" filth, nothing redeemable about that sad excuse of a club. :thumbsd:

The maggies I hate, but I love hating them and it makes footy all the much richer.

Hawthorn though, I just hate. If a Vic team was to fold and cease to be, the hawks would be the only ones I wouldn't have some regret over.

There FF will kick 100 this yr

It's a looooong season. There's good reason that no one has kicked 100 in a season for ten years. You have to average over four a match. If you get held goal less in a match - which happens to everyone sooner or later - the figure creeps up to closer to 5 a match. Miss a couple through injury and it gets up around 6 or better a match. Buddy had a pretty good year last year and still kicked 1 goal only in about 5 matches. He's on pace for now but there's a loooong way to go yet.

The interesting one is Johnathon Brown. Last season at this stage he'd kicked 13 goals. This season he's kicked, yup, 13 goals. I think you'll get something like 4:1 odds on him winning the Coleman if you hunt around.

As an aside, there's also a good reason that Coleman winners often appear in teams that underperform. Having one player dominate your goal kicking isn't healthy for a club. If that player has an off day, or comes against a particularly good opponent, you're toast. Look at Hawthorn against the Roos in the finals last year.

Personally I think that Fev might be the next 100 goal kicker. He's not as spectacular but as a team Carlton get a bunch of forward entries every game and their midfield is getting better at hitting targets, so he'll get plenty of opportunities. He kicked 84 in 2006 in an utterly terrible team. So he's a big chance, assuming, of course, he stays off the sauce.

^^^^^ Some very very good points there.

I still think hes a shoe in Barring injury tho :thumbsu:
I think the team will let Fev down sadly.

You make a good point there. When you think about it, every game so far this season the opposition have been plastered over the media.

Round 1 - Port Adelaide - GF replay
Round 2 - Essendon - Good win the week before...pace might challenge Geelong
Round 3 - Melbourne - How much will Geelong win by, etc, etc
Round 4 - St.Kilda - How they faded out against the Dogs
Round 5 - Sydney - Barry Hall

All teams have had something to prove, and all teams have failed. Keep building up our opponents, and we'll keep on knocking them down a peg or two. :thumbsu:

The amazing thing about Hawthorn is how much noise they make having done so little.

They've been a "good young club on the up" for more than 10 years now.

Now they have started to infest the mainboard, not only with Franklin threads, but saying Rioli will win a Brownlow and he is better than Selwood.

Cannot wait till someone bursts their overinflated heads.

Only 12 weeks to go, at the most. :thumbsu:

I'd be worried if I was a hawthorn fan, most teams are bringing their A-game in preparation for us, whereas Hawthorn have never played us in this kind of form, I wouldn't be surprised if they rocked up expecting to defeat the same Geelong side they've had the wood over the last few times. It'll be a massive reality check if that's the case.:D

Loved the way they creamed themselves when Freo took the lead :D twas lolarious

Not was funny as them all trying to backpedal 90 minutes later after we got up and won. :p

Love Lunchlady Doris' work of bumping all the crap threads shotta started in Bay 13 too. Hilarious stuff!
