Going on Sunday?

Traditionally we don't turn up for this game.

In the Newton MOTY game a couple of years ago, there was barely a red and blue scarf in the joint (not to say that the Kangaroos were packing out the place either).

This time around, not only are we struggling but the Kangaroo's season is over as well.

Will the bashing we've been given this week attract or drive away our supporters?

FWIW, I'm going. Missed too many games over the years not to go to the ones I'm here for.

I am in two minds which is shit because for the first time in years I am able to go most weeks. With the current situation we are in, I think I may just watch it at home. I can't wait till this season is over.

I'll be there continuing to keep an eye on the emergence of Grimes, Petterd, Jetta, Frawley, Morton, etc. You have to try and find positives out of all this mess.

Plus, it will interesting to watch a few of the boys play for their careers, regardless of what their contract arrangements are. Eg. Newton, Miller

Im going, I have a 16 game melbounre Membership do you know where im able to sit? i have only been one to the dome this year (vEssesdon) and i was in the front row in the AFL members reserve, so im just wondering where the GA is. I am thinking it is on level 3? might just pay the $5.50 for a reserved seat in the members again

I'm going.

I'm contemplating taking a big "**** you Demitriou" banner (with correct spelling though) but I think I'll save it for an MCG game with a bigger crowd.

I'm heading along. I was at that Newton game too. Blinder of a mark. Horrid game though. I'm only going to this one (usually can't be bothered with the Etihad dome) cos I've been given Medallion Club seats from a company that needs to make nice with me. They need to make nicer - a game such as this probably makes me less likely to buy their kit.

During that North I was sitting at the top of L3 alone because not one Melb or Kangaroos fan I knew would go.

The only people within about 50m of me was some bloke with a headset and microphone who was recording his own commentary for the game. Somehow he got talking with me and I got to drop a special comment into the call. It was tops.

This year I have free Medallion Club tickets and North fans are coming from the clouds. Still a complete lack of interest from most Melb fans though.

Now that we've admitted we're 'experimenting' I'm kind of looking forward to seeing what kind of wacky manoevures are delivered.

This will be my first game in melbourne ive missed for the year.

Ill watch it on tv because i feel like im entitled to a rest from this week.

And knowing i really want the boys to lose i really dont feel like going to the football and discretely cheering on the opposition.

Hopefully we lost this by 10-15 points and then we can all enjoy a win against the dockers the following week

I was also at the Newton game. I was behind the point post at the end where he took the mark. The Melbourne crowd was as quiet as the Fremantle crowd in 2008 when we hit the lead in the fourth quarter.

Got a spare ticket Super???
pretty please!!!!!!!!

Alas not. It's a 2 Melb, 1 North, 1 neutral lineup.

And that could be the whole crowd. Though I hear the APS vs AGSV match is the curtain raiser so there might be a few rich pricks boosting the numbers and taking a zero off the check Brayshaw will write to Etihad.

Oh well, looks like it's behind the goals again with the cheer squad. Keep me in mind for next time Super.

I'm not going, it's too depressing to hope to lose whilst being at the match. It will be the first game that i could've gone to but decided to miss all year.

I'd rather win this and lose to Freo. They'll have 12 fans there and we won't have to hear about it afterwards.

Can Melbourne afford to win any more games? If they win against North or Fremantle, they could lose 16th spot and push their second selection in the draft from 2 to 3. If there is someone they desperately want, they might not be prepared to take that risk.

If we're concerned about having 1 and 3 instead of 1 and 2 we're even greedier bastards than I first thought.

I'd rather give up 2 (as previously mentioned Freo are likely to pick a local anyway) and avoid the wooden spoon.

I'll be there - without question.

Have been in SE Asia for the last month, so missed all the hubbabaloo. Should be interesting to see Bailey's team board to do a rad move to the power of sick.

If you aren't going, then you are a terrorist and must have your anus replaced with a size 11 blundstone boot.
