Certainly not the best highlight footage I've seen but I do like the speed of Maurice Rioli Jr. Do we have zone access to him since he's living and playing in Darwin?
He's zoned to Tiwi Islands (Essendon).

James Brayshaw IQ = 4

ANOTHER final, another Rioli best-on-ground.
Richmond father-son prospect Maurice Rioli jnr, 18, delivered a sharp reminder as to his credentials for this year's NAB AFL Draft on Saturday night.
The son of the late 1982 Norm Smith medallist dazzled with four goals for St Mary's in their semi-final win over Nightcliff to book a berth in the Northern Territory Football League Grand Final.
Rioli is eligible to join Richmond, Fremantle or Essendon via the draft but has previously indicated his desire to play in yellow and black.

Good to see a notable name in Jack Johnston (his father David played 66 AFL games for Essendon and Fitzroy) being named to captain our academy team this year. He is a key defender who stood 194cm last year and hopefully he will grow a few more centimetres over the coming months to give us another genuine key defender option going forward. Bonus that he has leadership qualities as well. Jack is a Burleigh junior who has gone through the PBC pathway over the last few years for anyone who is interested.

Davies being named vice captain is also a positive. Hopefully the boys can get some good results this year and a few of them are picked up now that we have exclusive access to our academy prospects. Davies and Johnston look the most likely to be drafted at this stage.

Jacks a likely type, doing well in the neafl too. Stayed after the academy game to watch neafl and two of he academy boys stood out Colesmo as a forward , Gore as a midfielder.

Would you know who were tall players numbers 60 and 62 in defense and number 55 (look a bit like Sharp)?

It's interesting when you look through the academy age groups and see familiar names like U17s Will Bella (brother of Lauren), U17s Jye Lockett (nephew of Tony), U16s Will Francou (son of Josh), U16s Louie McLennan (brother of Jez), U14s Owen Torney (son of Jason), U14s Taj Lockett (nephew of Tony, brother of Jye), U14s Oliver Francou (son of Josh), U13s Kalani White (son of Jeff) and U13s Ben Francou (son of Josh).

Gore playing as a mid? Thought he was a small forward? Hopefully he has a good year and the suns can put him on the rookie list. Thought he was a bit unfortunate last year, after playing well with the allies.
I noticed he has a big left foot for a player of his size so if he gets a clearance on the run the ball ends up deep in the forward line

School footy is back in 2020. Nice to see a mix of private and public schools performing well in the Northern Rivers region and hopefully some potential future Suns amongst the playing groups.

Who is number 34?

That would be Aiden Fyfe. A 188cm Coomera junior who kicked a goal after the final siren to win the AFLQ Schools Cup for Helensvale High last year. If he has a big year then there's a good chance we'll rookie draft him.
Yeah, dad watched him over the weekend against Labrador.
Thought he was easily best on.

Who is number 34?
All academy programs suspended till future notice . Will this affect the pre listing for this years draft Ie Davies ?

Are the 19yr old year old Academy players now free agents??

What happens to nab league / allies ??

Feel for those Academy staff who could know be out of work
