Not sure we can blame them for that one given his body has been constantly breaking down. I look at Pedlar and I can at least see what the recruiters were going for. I can't with Ned. He's too slow, too small, has poor skills, lacks composure etc. He doesn't have anything to offer except work-rate.
Pretty much spot on with Ned. He has no elite attributes besides work rate. That's not enough. He seems to get in decent position up forward to create an opportunity but has no goal sense and kicks poorly when he does have a chance.

I wish the club would just accept that he is not up to it and invest elsewhere. It just delays the rebuild.

Game over in 10 minutes, effort good after that but seems to be a theme.

Good
Laird and Berry are awesome. Only complaint is too many entires I50 are moon balls. Both getting more of the ball in front half of stoppage.
Soligo good again, worked hard
Dawson good for being tagged, love his contested marking every week.
Fog ok, low disp but is getting to more contests.

Bad
Defense absolutely blows, every time we had even contests down back we lost every time. In the air on on the deck, guaranteed goal leaked.
Doedee has no confidence, drops marks and fumbles all the time
Smith still only bombs it

Same youngsters are concerning
Jones - Non existent after first half
McHenry - Cant play
Hamill - Same as every game, few nice run and carry moments but doesnt do it anywhere near enough.
Shoenberg - Not improving
Throw in Hinge, Murphy, Milera, Parnell. These guys dont get games at any other club.

Hamill played well compared to Doedee and Smith. Wasn't the worst of our young brigade.

This is ****ing damning, and unacceptable as club that we accept this absolute mediocre list management

I remember the Robert Shaw years, and this quagmire we are in now is even worse. Sack Nicks and get Clarkson

Berry getting better every week love the way he goes about it, Soligo looks good too
battled hard after 1/4 time
Bad: I know it was wet but only 35 marks compared to their 91...
what has happened to Doedee? 1 mark for the game

I'm sometimes wondering what people see when i've had two seperate people tell me Jones and McHenry were OK today and another tell me the best moments of play we had were created by those two.
They were both probably okay, but that's not good enough. I don't remember Jones doing anything inexcusable like McHenry though.

Not many people can ruin an elite handball receive 15m from goal and ruin momentum like he did.

Classic statement by Nicks "we didn't get it quite right in the first quarter"

First quarter shows what a class team can do. We are so many years away from doing that it's painful.

We went for a clog up the game style after quarter time, it blunted Swans effectiveness but they probably didn't have their head in the game after going 8 goals up

Have a look at the AFL website stats, not the be all and end all but - we had the 10 lowest rated players on the ground!

Umpiring was ordinary but didn't favour either side.

GOOD

Laird actually looked much better today, found targets rather than hacking it forward.

Berry played his best game, looks an A grader in the making

Murray toiled away, lacks class but is a goer

Hamill looked good although stats don't show it

Soligo looks a find

BAD

Smith and Milera are cooked. Sad but they wouldn't get a game in any other team. Not the future, we need to move on

Murphy shouldn't have been recalled last week, three lucky goals keeps him in. We are going no where gifting him games

ROB lots of hit outs but just doesn't look like a player to take us forward

Doedee has regressed to almost a non entity. Definitely not our next captain.

Jones achieves the bare minimum, wouldn't get a game elsewhere

DREADFUL

McHenry is a bloke who is everywhere but despite that doesn't get the ball, had only 4 tackles, absolutely no game sense. This is a case of bloody mindedness by the AFC because they don't want to admit they blew a first rounder. Note to the AFC - by constantly picking him you reinforce with us that he is spudsville and you the AFC have wasted a valuable rebuild first rounder

Matthew Nicks presser - and I haven't seen it yet but I know exactly what he'll say, nauseating arse saving crap

Is it just me, or does it seem like Doedee has checked out?

I've always thought he was a bit overrated on this board, but he looks like a shadow of his previous self and to me it comes across as attitude as much as anything else.
yep - he's not buying what Nicks is selling.

Are they the nannas with knitted rugs and a thermos telling you that? They love all players unconditionally

I agree with your comments about our defence. All year we seem to leak too many easy goals and gifting many scoring opportunities to our opposition. This could also be the fault of our unaccountable midfield and or not playing a loose interceptor in defence! The defence seems to be always outnumbered and crowded with opposition players allowing them many options to score. Also our defenders appear to give up too easily in the contest and have little or no second efforts.

Don’t get me started on the lack of a proper game plan. We don’t see the Crows creating running play from the back lines to the forward line and instead it’s just a rolling scrum going from one contest to the next and then turning the ball over.

I bet our other players kick/pass the ball to Ned with the same confidence I give a cup of water to my toddler.

I know it's going to end in a terribly uncoordinated mess but you know you have to do it because this time might be the time it actually clicks and he pulls it off.

But, every time, 30 seconds later you're cleaning up a mess wondering why you do it to yourself.

There’s a point where that stops being a good thing

It's obvious he has to sacrifice some of the offensive sides of his game in order to achieve his impressive defensive stats. But it's also clear defence is a coaching priority right now. He still got 7 clearances and 2 goals but hopefully gets a licence to play more offensively soon.

People mix up Soligo and McHenry sometimes

We are a basket case.

Before the season started (maybe even halfway through the last? I can't recall) I said we are currently Melbourne of the 2010s, and when showing that list today in a discord I haunt a Demon fan said the same thing.

People mix up Soligo and McHenry sometimes

Why hasn't someone walked Soligo into a barbershop and told him he's not leaving until the back and top match the sides, that's what I want to know, talk about serious leadership failures
