IMO this thread is pretty self-serving. Every Saints supporter is on the Cats bandwagon to make the grand final, because its their best chance at a flag. They have a great record against us (bar last years GF which was extremely close) meanwhile who'd want to take on the raging Collingwood on their current form?

Be careful what you wish for Sainters, with some luck we'll go 3 from 4 including BACK-TO-BACK-TOE-POKE.

Its finals footy, suck it up and stop whinging - LOL at some of the comments from the self-proclaimed best footy dynasty - really really SOFT

Yes it is finals footy.. something that is pretty new to Fremantle supporters. A little humility wouldn't go astray mate. You won a home final, congratulations. We've won what 70 out of 80 including 2 flags and enough all Australians to form a new republic. Enjoy the tall-poppy sniping while you can, its cold comfort when you're back working the Docks with no clue about what real football success tastes like.

LOL, we play hard fast intensive footy. Barlow got his injury due to that style, extremely unfortunate but at least both players were going for the ball with that intensity. So you think that style of footy is dirty sniping - no wonder everyone thinks Geelong has gone soft.

If you do manage to get over us tonight, there is absolutely no way you are going to be in any condition to get over Colonwood next week ;)

I'm highly dubious of your statement of we play hard fast and intensive footy. It wasn't so in the past, where a few of the Freo team have had long times on the sidelines to think about their method of play. I think that's where the original statement by my bretheren alluded to. Which is a far landscape from the Freo team of this year. Again, backing the statement of the earlier post that your comment of injured players on opposing teams is a little crass in comparison to the style and sportsmanship that Freo have shown us this year.

Finals footy? Do you know what that is about? I'm unsure; hmmm who played in the last three again? I seem to have forgotten.

If anyone, I think the Cats know exactly what is required more than many. You listed the Pies may know more, hmmmmm perennial prelim finalists at this stage, yet to be proven.

Mate its got nothing to do with whinging at all, I think your low IQ is stopping you from seeing my point.

I was stating a point that if Freo supporters follow a stat showing that they INJURE opposition players more than any other team, its not really something to boast about.
I couldnt tell you how many Geelong players have injured opposition players this season because frankly its not a stat that I would be proud of or would want to see associated with my clubs long and proud history.

And the fact that you are obviously proud about this stat goes to show what level of respect and integrity your club has for our great competition.

I stand by my first comment: Piss poor comment, piss poor sportsmanship.

Spose you'd like to see everyone cuddle after the final siren, losers to get a macdonalds meal certificate and everyone to hold hands when we sing the anthem. Seriously. Gen Y. How did it all go so wrong...??

I walked out of the G on grand final day 1992 singing the eagles theme song :(
Couldn't help it.

We are Cat foot soldiers. Our sweat, tears and possibly blood will be joining that of our players at the MCG this Friday night. Tonight we are at war. The Freo army has come from across the land to tackle our mighty juggernaught. We will send them home defeated and demoralised. None of this namby pamby group hug bullshit. Playing football is the closest many Australians will get to going to war. Finals football is no holds barred, in your face, action packed, rampaging lion type stuff. We will win and we will punish all those who stand between us and ultimate success.

I hope StKilda and Collingwood supporters still have our song stuck in their head. They certainly will come October.

Even if they cant remember the whole lot, they will still know the first line...:D

LOL, good luck tonight for your geriatrics, hope you enjoy the Freo song ;)

Good luck tonight mate, but I have a question.

Does anyone actually sing that song?
Ours doesn't set the world on fire, but that would be truly awful to sing.

Seems like there's a few nervous Cats fans about. No need to react so negatively to someone wishing us luck.

Looking forward to the game, not going to wish you luck, you'll make your own....but I'll admit I would like to see a Collingwood v Geelong rematch next week.

Comfortable win, no injuries, plenty of time to recover for the prelim against the pies

Well done.

Good luck next week

Here's one of them :(

I couldn't have been more wrong.

Congratulations Geelong on a great win, or should I say training run - you absolutely killed us.

I really thought we would turn up to play, but irrespective of our players attitudes, some interesting coaching decisions and including Headland and Sandi (he shouldn't be playing that injured)-Kep and Hase would have been far better, your team does appear to be of the same standard that got you your 2 recent flags.

Now to find a humble pie big enough ;)

Will be a great game next week between Geelong and Colonwood

Thanks. Here's hoping we can beat the Pies with no injuries and get to another epic game against you.

Least you are big enough to admit it mate!! :D

I think the Sandilands inclusion was a massive error. Sure he is big, but he just stood there and couldnt move.

But freo supporters have a lot to look forward to I think, its just bad luck for you that you had to face a waking demon.
