i did have a bit of a chuckle watching this, i think we made the right choice getting rid of him. was great early on in the piece, but as shown today, just does some really stupid things.
how good is that we got bachar houli (pick 42) for solly. when the trade was done people said that we didn't get much for him. in the years to come this trade will prove to be a big winner for us.

My bad, if it was going to be ray hall then no for sure.
I consider Solly as a favourite son, but that deal we did is looming as an absolute cracker for us.
So do I, and so do I.
But I think he deserves a bit more respect than this. He had some great years with us.

yeah but you only remember the worst of them until they r well retired. EG Mercuri. People have forgotten how crap he was in his last year

I'm pretty happy with Solly. He had 13(!!!!) tackles against the eagles and his job is to keep the ball in the F50 a-la Chick at the eagles.
He'll go ok for us. Looks in better shape than last year, thats for sure.

I don't understand? I think people focus too much on how bad he was last year, and don't remember the good years he had, eg Mercuri?

I misread it. I thought you were talking about Solomon in regards to people forgetting about how crap he was in his last year.

wayyyyy to early to tell if the dons got the better end of the trade. some trades look great at the start but end up not so great (cupido anyone?). i reckon solly could still do well at freo and the dons may regret letting him go (a la hardwick).

We'd do the Cupido trade again as we got McPhee and had to unload Caracella anyway. The Hardwick deal was also a salary cap trade.
